How about instead they fix the friends list being down almost on a daily basis at a random time, because it is awesome when I want to play some Halo before work the next day but can't because MS can't maintain their servers.

Haha right... omg i cant see my friends who are online for about 30 minutes once every couple weeks.

If your friends list is down that often, you might be having DNS server issues. Do some research on DNS servers, it should help. Back on 360, when I adjusted mine, the full friend list loaded up almost instantly. Should help with certain load times to.

You may have to open your ports if your xbox one network settings say moderate or strict. And easier way to open is to go to multiplayer test, test the multiplayer connection. While it's doing that hold RB,RT,LT,LB all at the same time until something comes up. Back out and boom ports open for Xbox one. Assuming if your ports are not open..

Mkai: opening ports have nothing to do with the process you just described. It deals with the router. Look up port forwarding.

I shudder to think of what could happen if entrenched ISP's ever focused on shaking down MS & Sony like they did with Netflix. Just the thought of what they might do makes me hope the current ruling on net neutrality holds past 2016.
