"The website Ubisoft has announced the reveal of the next Assassin’s Creed through has logos for Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Does this mean the game will be cross-gen? No, it doesn’t, and we are about to explain you why."
Yeah, no one should expect it to be on them.
Or maybe they didnt like the sales of AC Unity so they will put a heavily downgraded version to the X360/PS3/WiiU Its not like Unity had 'Next Gen' gameplay or anything. Its just the same old game with higher graphics, more npc's on screen and more bugs apparently.
I don't think that the old-gen consoles and Wii U can handle the new engine.
Next gen gameplay? Utter nonsense if you see any significant gameplay changes it will be from newer and better use of physics. I have been play games since the Atari, gameplay has been pretty much as good as it is going to get for a while now. That is funny you dismiss unity as same old game with higher graphics ect ect. That is pretty much how every game ever released could be written off as. The most "next gen gameplay" I have seen in a good while is shadows of mordors nemesis system. Everthing else has been simply adding on to pre existing ideas and technology from previous gens. Not sure why some people act like gameplay and graphics are opposing elements rather than dependant on each other or are complementary.
Someone needs to take this stupid article down. Why is this news? AC Unity is PS4, XONE and PC only...why the hell would the next be any different? Sooooo do they not have any common sense? This isn't news and its a waste to have put up. Its very much known that it won't have those versions as its a main AC title.
Some websites and forums were reporting that Assassin's Creed Syndicate/Victory is coming to PS3, 360 and Wii U based on that banner, so this article is just a clarification.
Sad for Nintendo how their system is lumped in with thedecade old 360. NX should really not carry on this traditional inferiority.
yeah, until ps5 and xbox two are out.so they better bring soon his new machine.
I wish I had the opportunity to buy this AC game- (im a Wii U owner) as Victorian London should be a fantastic setting
Look to buy a PS4 or XONE. I would never advise anyone to be a Wii U only owner... Especially if you like the AC series.
you are def correct- the wii u has some good games but it is very limited
Why do they keep making them for last gen? This could be another curent gen game, instead of a crappy last gen game. No one will buy it, it's not gonna sell. Watch Dogs 2 better not be for last gen either.
Yeah another current gen game like the masterpiece that was Unity.
I soured on the franchise when Revelations dropped. 3 had some things going for it but ultimately fell flat in my eyes. As for 4 and Unity I just couldn't get into them. Thank god I got them for free when I got my Xbox One otherwise I would of been pissed. The series needs to go bye-bye on all platforms at this point. It peaked at II and Brotherhood. I used to get excited when a new entry was announced. Now not so much. Oh well.
So the series needs to go bye bye because you don't like it?
Kinda what I implied. Its run its course.
If the series had truly run its course it wouldn't continue to score well and sell well. I think I'm getting a bit burnt out on the series too, but people like you and I are always free to simply not buy it. Some people have never even played an Assassin's Creed game, or maybe they just got into the games with AC4 or Unity, or maybe they are massive fans and love everything in the series they can get their hands on. There are lots of different tastes and circumstances in this world.
Assassin's Creed Rogue wasn't even on Wii U. Plus after Unity's bugs I'm sure Ubisoft would want to devote more time to making current gen AC run smoothly
Unity was not released for last gen consoles last year, so of course this next Assassin's Creed won't be. Not sure if this need explanation through an article.
Previous gen is holding back gaming. 360 and ps3 were awesome but its time to move on. If publishers still want to support 7th gen it needs to be separate games which means they r gonna have to invest devs specifically for last gen. Ubisoft had the right idea with Unity and Rogue. As for Wii U well Nintendo gamers apparently don't buy 3rd party games so why would devs bother with a port? If Nintendo gamers want these games they gotta prove it with their wallets first
we dont buy crappy third party games which 80% of the western multiplatform titles are
Both of you look at this from the extremes lol. I would say that of course I would like ALL games on my Nintendo system because variety is the spice of life right? Even though in brutal honesty, I feel that 4th-6th gen was the golden age of third parties. So much more awesome back then. Anyway, the Wii U is primarily for the Nintendo fan at this point. Third parties went up to bat early on and it was a strikeout shortly after launch. EA hung it up before the game even started. It is what it is.
Western games tends to be Highly acclaimed, while Japanese games tends to be irrelevant, cheap, ugly and terrible graphics.
Also isn't it why Japanese games are irrelevant? They have been irrelevant, since last gen, no one cares about them anymore
Whether or not a game is "crappy" is a matter of opinion. Doesn't change the fact that the Wii U Has lost the support of Big publishers because people don't buy their games for that system. Im not hating on the Wii U. I have one and enjoy it for what it is. Im just saying it as I see it
We don't buy shitty versions of multiplats that arrived sooner, and got more content, on other systems. If Ubisoft treated us as something other than an afterthought, we would buy from them. Wii U gamers will not support horrible ports, and no one here has any right to villainize us for that perfectly rational decision. We shouldn't have to settle for buying crap games, just to get support from third parties that, clearly, don't give enough of a shit about us to do their own jobs right.
It's not just good 3rd party titles you guys aren't supporting but also Nintendo games like Bayonetta 2 and W101 and all over some petty hatred. ;)
Alot of exclusives don't get support on Wii U either. Most Wii U owners skipped out on Bayonetta which is an awesome game by the way. It seems that unless something is part of the Mario, Zelda or Metroid universe it doesn't sell on Wii U. As for horrible ports. Maybe Nintendo should've thought of that when they released a console equivalent to 7th gen right around the corner from 8th gen. U cant expect "next Gen" ports on a non "next Gen" console
@LOL_WUT Funny how yall love to use Bayonetta 2 which Bayonetta didn't even sell past 2m combined on two platforms x16 Wii U install base. Having to force Sega to cancel the game because of yall so-called "hardcore gamers" were to busy buying yearly assassin creed, cod, sports games and others. You got nothing but yourself to blame for not buying Bayonetta 2 if you were a fan of the previous one.
@ LOLWUT Bay 2 sold well, when you fairly consider the size of the install base and the percentage it sold to compared to the original. And TW101 was criminally under-rated, and it was Platinum's first Wii U game on top of being a new IP, yet its still slowly selling even now. We also gave good sales to games like Monster Hunter 3 U and I shouldn't even need to mention the wealth of 3DS games. Besides, its not like haters have room to judge when their own petty console loyalties kept these fantastic games, and the Wii U, from selling the numbers they deserved. @ fat First off, the Wii U is a current gen console right alongside the PS4 and XBone. Generations are determined by sequence, not specs or console war fan opinions. Second, the specs were not the reason games like CoD Ghosts turned out to be horrible ports. (let alone the reason why cross gen games like Destiny, which the Wii U could have easily handled, did not make it to the system) Only an idiot would blame the Wii U's specs for something like 99% of Ghost's extra content not even being made available. They were made into terrible ports because third parties didn't give a damn in the first place. They did it thinking sub par ports would sell to a fanbase that they had practically given the finger to for several gens, and when no one supported their bs, they turned tail and ran. That's the cold hard truth.
Look up sales for donkey kong tf, w101 and bayonetta 2, they don't really even buy many of their own exclusives in significant numbers. Outside of a few Mario and animal crossing games, let alone third party games. otaku and rainzor would make a lovely couple both elitest fools trying to convince the world of their superior gaming tastes. The Japanese games aren't inferior to western games nor visa versa they are different that is all. Both you two are annoying.
If we see a new AC game on last gen consoles, we'll probably see a completely different game just for these consoles. Kind of like how Rogue was for the older consoles and Unity was just new gen. But I doubt that'll happen this time around.
and what they released to the other consoles will be half assed and unfinished. Might get patched and fixed at some point over the next 6-12 months so its half way functioning and then its on to the next $60 game that people PAY THEM to test their unfinished games rinse and repeat. Stay classy Ubishit.
IDK black flag was good as well as the second game but never really got into the series personally.
Cool! another AC game. Yayyyyy! (Sarcasam)
Why does anyone even get excited for these any more after the absolute atrocity that was Unity?
Egregious_Sasquatch, same reason why wii u owners get all excited for the latest overhyped mario spin off that the kids are buying.
