Yooka-Laylee leaps through stretch goals during weekend

Hey there, how was your weekend? Take time off, enjoy the magic of Saturday’s “Free Comic Book Day” or some other fun activity? Well for Playtonic Games, the folks behind Yooka-Laylee the weekend was full of earning the money needed for their game and so much more.

Kind of proves that many people want more 3D platformers

I would kill for a new Rayman 3D game, the 2.5D ones just aren't the same. If I wanted that stuff I would play New Super Mario Bros U or something

If you pledge $24 you get a digital console copy of the game when its released.

Which is why Rayman 2 blasts the first one out the water

I think the Orchestra is the final one. Now that the kickstarter is getting a small amount every hour adding another massive stretch goal is a bit of a reach. Stretch goals get people hyped to spend money so they can reach them, and to provide clear goals. They've stated any money will go to better content. They're goal now should be to make the best game possible.

Even the gameplay stills are giving off a liberating sense of joy, the kind I haven't even experienced since the N64, PS1, and PS2.

One thing they have to nail is the charm. Banjo and Kazooie had beautiful graphics and interesting characters, but most importantly, it had charm. It wasn't just a fun and colorful platformer, it was pure pixar.
