"David Gaider, the lead writer of the Dragon Age series of games at BioWare tweeted today expressing interest in working on another Star Wars RPG."
Do it, I'll take any Star Wars RPG that is not a MMORPG.
Or an MMORPG in single player clothes!
Amen to that! We've been waiting for a single player KOTOR 3 for years!
* They are making it most likely right now. * It will be released after Episode 7, so that new world will have been established and so will Rogue Ones portion as well. * This will open up where they could fit this game and maybe to appeal to the new trilogy they will make it Before Force Awakens or right after. * I'd think they would like to somehow tie it into a portion of the new Star Wars to get new fans on board.
This needs to happen ASAP. How this wasn't EA's first order of business with the Star Wars license is beyond me.
Because SWTOR makes them more money than a single player RPG would.
EA wants money, they do not care about their fans. If there is a want from a fanbase you can count on EA doing the opposite.
I sure as heck would love another KOTOR-like experience. As much as I know those games gave way to the likes of Dragon Age, there was something magical about both of the KOTOR games, nostalgia drives the experience...no doubt, but damn they were fun.
Knights of the New Republic?
Do it. And a Dragon Ball game.
Xenoverse gets close, but a fully realized DBZ RPG would be so much fun.
This is great news. I think that a lot of the criticisms that the new battlefront faced were because people are hungry for a richer star wars video game experience. Granted many of the concerns are valid, but a fully fleshed out and involved story the likes of the dark forces series or KotR is highly desired in the next-gen gaming days.
Everybody wants another Star Wars game from Bioware, a real RPG like KOTOR, not a mmorpg. Would be great a remake of the two KOTOR games as well, i really don't understand why Bioware didn't announce that yet.
bring back kotor
i would play this if it wasn't a MMO and/or involved co-op.
KOTOR 3 would be nice. I know TOR is suppose to take care of enough story for like 7 games and it's not a bad game but I don't have the time to invest into a very grindy mmo.
Biggest reason why I've never played it. I can't invest that kind of time.
That's it, I am saying it: I want to play a Gungun Ewok mix, called a Gunwok from a new planet called Endboo. And I will name him, Wicket Binks. He will speak Ewok backwards. And have the innate ability to use rocks to defeat ANY technology and all his moves will be bumbling and stumbling.
Aren't EA Visceral working on an open world star wars game?
They are working on a Star Wars Action game. Bioware was already rumoured to be working on a Star Wars RPG so this news article is already strange...
Huh... When EA bought the rights they said that DICE, Visceral, and Bioware were all working with the Star Wars IP. So what's this guy talking about?
They probably aren't working on an RPG then.
Sadly, I don't think I want to play another game made by Bioware. Their last good game was Dragon Age:Origins. May they rest in peace.
2015 Bioware will ruin it with repetitive MMO type quests, deliberately ugly models to push an agenda, bad writing, and with Gaider in charge you'll see his egotistical attitude plague the only dev to user interaction they have. I don't have high expectations for another kotor by bioware today. http://m.imgur.com/wqlc6DY
You can already do this if you play SWTOR's campaign. The only thing that would change would be better graphics.
I'd love a from software Star Wars game in the souls style
Sounds like he is foreshadowing to me.
For the love of god, keep that arrogant SJW away from Star Wars. I'd love a new Star Wars RPG, but let some other writer do it.
knights of the old republic 3?
