"Square Enix revealed that this new demo was powered by 4x GTX Titan X in SLI."

4 titan Xs? the original demo was a GTX680 at 1080p 60 fps. speaking of which, these screens aren't even 1080p.

But 6 to 12 time more polygons this time ...

DevilOgreFish1321d ago (Edited 1321d ago )

true, and probably at 4k 60 fps this time too.

Nice to know what games will look like in 2054.

Half life 3 can't come soon enough--sure will look great.

I know I shouldn't have but when doesn't HL3 come up when we speculate decades from now?

It's still crazy to think of what 4 existing cards can achieve as it looks better than old cgi that required huge networks to accomplish.

mad-dog1321d ago

Yeah, honestly, we'll see this in game faar before 2054.

Nio-Nai1321d ago (Edited 1321d ago )

Maybe on consoles, but with the pay PC graphics cards work you will be able to see details like this on a single card by 2020.

Usually the highest card of a next generation of cards is on par with 2x cards of the highest generation of the previous gen.

This applies to both AMD and Nvidia.

Yes. It was not an exact date

Amazing. I really need to see what a full AAA game built with DX12 looks like.

I have a feeling that what we saw was only possible because of those monstrous GPUs. I don't think most people can afford just one of them lol But it's still impressive.

I found this in the comment section

"DirectX 12 allows multiple GPUs to use all of their Vram, Its not all pooled together as it is currently. With DirectX11, this rig has 12GB of Vram. With DirectX12, this rig has 48GB of Vram. Thats immense and crazy and awesome and im very excited for this. The bottleneck for future generations will now be the GPU core speed. Not the Vram"

that's crazy
