Opinion: Differences Among Call of Duty Games Are Skin Deep

Although the Black Ops 3 reveal hit with a bang, it's hard to shake the feeling that it seems very similar to Advanced Warfare. The differences between wearing an EXO suit and being a cyborg may be minor at best. Could the Call of Duty series be running ideas, and will future games all look alike?

Nah Black ops 2 MP was really good. Great campaign too, and it Introduced customizable loadouts and branching storylines.

Hitman, Tomb Raider, Souls, Final Fantasy, GTA, Mario, Zelda etc. etc.

What you said is not true for a lot of IPs. But, yeah, it works perfectly for EVERY annual franchises, without any exception.

And, paying homage to their business model, I'll mimic them there.

Of course CoD is similar every year, if it departed from the norm, it wouldn't sell. I still play CoD because it's fast paced, easy to play, and just fun. Yes the games are identical in the shooting sense, but every year brings something new to the table, that works for me... I'll continue to buy CoD until the series is discontinued
