Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has built quite the fanbase of dedicated tournament players.
Its Smash Bros, what do people expect, theres a lot to the game a lot of mechanics and strategies to learn, its just as good as any fighting game. The thing its simple to get into, but when you play pros, its like you walk to in a whole other world they make Smash seem like something else. Other games they not simple to get into, and takes time to learn
I think the hardest thing to learn in Smash Bros 4 is spacing. Since it is not digital inputs of Walk and double tap to run/hop ... getting that perfect distance with analog controls feels harder for me than say learning how to poke with crouching Middle/foward kick with Evil Ryu in SF4 since I know 100% what speed I am moving at. Most of everything else seems easy to learn ... just hard to truly master.
I would love to see an update to the Evo totals. Last note I saw was that Melee, SF4 and Smash 4 were all over 1,000 entrances. I assume all of them are even higher now.
Glad to see that Smash 4 is still hanging in there in the tourney scene.
