Explosion:" Xenoblade Chronicles X, the new role playing game developed by Monolith Soft. launching in just two days in Japan, is already setting out to be one of the more successful games on the Japanese eShop."
I hope it can sell good.
It will sell well in Japan, I think it can even suceed in the western markets.
Some ppl already have the game and have been streaming it on twith lol, here are a few videos of some new missions and Cutscenes https://www.youtube.com/wat... https://www.youtube.com/wat...
man the frame rate looks bad, game looks dated too, like a low res PS3 game. I'll buy it used next year (if it even releases next year) No point to waste money this year on lower quality, too many higher quality real next gen games coming this fall.
ohh look mrtroll is back with more original stuff to say about a game and console he has no desire for lol.
Well if you watched to gameplay live on twitch like i did you would know how much better it looks compares to these super compressed youtube videos. i watched about 2-3 hours and didnt notice framrate drops. On top of that the load times were very quick and almost nonexistent. only thing i did notice was tht the cut-scenes were a bit long bht thats about it. Everyting looks great, no imaginary "downgrade" and it looked fun as hell lol cant wait for this in the states.
@darkstar- oh, good to know that it doesn't look play that way in real time. I'll be sure to keep a look out for it later next year, I don't think I have time for it this year with all the major releases.
This is as much a next gen game as any other.
not watching anything. Don't know why people would spoil themselves.
I have a question, did you download the packs off of the eshop to decrease the load times?
I only watched a few hours of game play on twitch from a few streamers (johndoe1889) but im assuming he did download them given how fast they were.
Yes, they will reduce loading times because the data will be read from your external hard drive attached to the Wii U console. According to the game's director: Basic Data Pack (2 GB) – Effect: Large A data pack containing terrain data that will allow faster loading while in the city and the game’s various fields. The Basic Data Pack is required for other Data Packs to work. Enemy Data Pack (2.7 GB) – Effect: Medium Installs enemy data to the HDD, and when combined with the Basic Data Pack further speeds up load times while out in the field. Doll Data Pack (1.7 GB) – Effect: Medium Will install data pertaining to the Doll mechs. When combined with the Basic Data Pack, it will speed up read times when Dolls appear. This will lead to faster loading in the city and in the fields. Player Data Pack (3.6 GB) – Effect: Medium Will install data pertaining to the armour and graphics of the player. When combined with the Basic Data Pack, it will speed up loading in the city and when equipping changes in the shops in New Los Angeles.
Looks like 3 years of gameplay lol. They really out did themselves here.
I wish it was a worldwide release._.The wait ._._.i cant stand it.
Man this looks awesome.
This bodes well. If it sells well enough, maybe Nintendo will turn Xenoblade into one of their flagship IP's. Heck, Bill Trinen has already put this on the same level of care and importance as Zelda, for Nintendo. That alone gives me hope that this will become a main series that people relate when listing off the BIG names. I'd be more than happy with a huge scale Xeno title once or twice per console.
Though Famitsu's review was not that great, Dengeki wrote a really great review of it so perhaps that will influence sales. Anyway, when I went to the electronics store the other day to reserve a copy, they were no longer taking reservations on the bundle so it appears that perhaps Nintendo underestimated its popularity.
lol 8.5/10 is not that great now?
I'm always happy to hear good Nintendo news!
