During the Letter from the Producer Live broadcasted from the Nico Nico Chokaigi event in Tokyo, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida announced that the benchmark of the Heavensward expansion will be available on Monday at 4 PM Japan Time.
Angelus Victor said: The critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV. For years, this MMO has triumphed as one of the best of the genre. An impressive feat—especially considering its beginnings. Heck, you couldn’t name a better zero from hero story than the fall and rise of Version 1.0, dare I say.
Now, I have dabbled into Final Fantasy XIV. Many times, as a matter of fact. But always ended up dropping it for one reason or another. Still, after a group of close friends gifted me the Complete Edition and offered to help me get through it, I thought to myself: Maybe now is the time.
Today Square Enix announced that it will be testing travel in Final Fantasy XIV between Data Centers of different regions, with a major caveat.
Oh the smallest population server that's oce, let's see what they add for us!
* Characters with a Home World in the Oceanian data center will be unable to travel to a different physical data center.
Sweet.
Following the recent death of the legendary Akira Toriyama, players of FF14 and Dragon Quest 10 have been gathering to pay respects.
Now this is something I can't wait to get my hands on to try out.
This video really shows how dull\dim last-gen lighting\rendering looks.
Once "people start seeing better" (longing for big Ps in face prevents noticing OBVIOUS AF problems, etc.), the difference in last-gen lighting\rendering will become OBVIOUS... much to the detriment of then currently being released games still using last-gen rendering.
Notice the way that everything dark in the video doesn't reflect light in a way that reveals more of the complexity. An inCREDIBLE amount of REALism is lost that causes "depressingdimballs" fLAMER rather than "amazeballs" FANtastic.
I expect that better lighting\rendering will be highly demanded, especially since it makes far more difference than 900P versus 1080P.
900P with better lighting is EXTRAORDINARILY better than 1080P without... not only in how BRILLIANT it is not being dull\dim... in how much MORE that can actually be "scene".
cant fucking wait
lets do it my mid-end PC
