During today's Xenoblade Chronicles X showcase, Nintendo let it slip that the game's English localization has indeed not yet been finished.
Hmmm, if it doesn't come out this Fall, will there be any major exclusives for Wii U?
Not that we know of
U clearly don't know much then. Star Fox, splatoon, devils third to name a few.
@gamingpro: Uh..I'm sure he was talking about Fall.
Wait until E3, and if not, well, yes, nothing will be given for Wii U this holiday season.
There is literally nothing outside of Splatoon with a confirmed release date that i'm interested in (including 3DS). These have been my only purchases for Nintendo platforms in 2015. 3DS - Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Wii U - Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Party 10 and Splatoon (Pre-ordered)
ps4 release dates are lies. Drive club was finally finished. ps4 fans buy early acces. gaming is crazy at the moment.
Wow you actually bought Rainbow Curse? The game is terrible, makes you play the whole game on the gamepad, and you can't even enjoy it on the TV. Total failure.
@Superchiller It really is shame because the claymation graphics are beautiful.
It will for sure be out by fall, localization can't possibly take THAT long, the issue isn't whether it will come this year or not. The issue is that it should be out next month.
Localization is much, much harder than you seem to believe, so yeah, it can actually take THAT long, especially for such a text and dialogue heavy game.
depends on if Star Fox releases this year, or what other surprises Nintendo may have. The good ol' wait and see approach I guess.
Starfox is suppose to be coming. I think this E3 will showcase this game as a huge exclusive for Nintendo.
They just stated that the game will arrive "later this year", it's something.
The question now is, how much later is "later"? Two, three months? Year's end? They were still way too vague on how far along they are...
Star Fox Devil's Third Fatal Frame V Yoshi's Woolly World Mario Maker Splatoon next month Of course unannounced E3 reveals
Every time I see Fatal Frame 5 is coming I get so excited! I hope Nintendo bundles 4 with 5. Now that would blow away my year for me!
I doubt it, unless U consider Mario Maker major.
AS of right now, they are still expecting to release Star Fox as the big game for the year but it doesn't look good that there's been no news on that AT ALL.
Finished? It's looking like it's barely even started. They just pulled a bunch of Japanese footage.
I believe they said that all the locations were localized, but now they are working on getting all the voice acting done. Can't imagine this is a two day process. They didn't "pull a bunch of japanese footage". They were playing the finished japanese game.
lol. So many disagrees--Nintendo's dickriders are incredible.
What's really incredible is what you're calling those that disagree, when you clearly weren't smart enough to consider that they wouldn't want to show off a version of the game with uneven translations, and thus wouldn't show it even if they were nearly done translating it.
Yeah?? wouldve never guessed after that japane.. oops i mean American direct we just had.
With 100+ hours of content, it'll take a monumental amount of time to translate this title.
That English narrator was just terrible. I sincerely hope this is not an indication for the quality of acting we're going to be served in the localization. Considering the high quality acting of the all British cast from the original Xenoblade, that would be a huge let down.
Nah thats just the treehouse girl because they haven't hired VA ilm guessing. Anyway, if you or anyone knows where i can find the treehouse footage i'll get you a bubble or something. I decided not to watch it to not spoil exploration for myself, but i'm regreting not watching it and can't find it.
No shit sherlock:D Didn't expect that after they playing japanese version;)
Keep in mind they only said it wasn't done, not that they aren't close to being done. For all we know they could have already finished the translations.
