It still might not be enough to win some people over, but you're right. Nothing to complain about here, great additions overall.

Nice additions, though many will still feel screwed over from having the next raid delayed to being paid DLC and getting a new hub that was shown before the game even released.

By "loyal" I guess they mean the masochistic ones, lol

Mehmeh1151d ago

Don't believe it until I see it in play for myself.

Really nice that the update applies to people without the seasonal pass or should I say people that won't have this dlc right away. It's actually a nice touch. They really won't be left out

Glad they're making attempts to fix some of the mistakes in Destiny, re-forging our old gear and weapons is a good start.

I don't think you can reforge the old weapons. I'm pretty sure I heard Deej mention that during feed. Only the HOW guns. However you can boost the old ones to 365 which is great!

Wow, forge was great in halo it's ashame destiny only has 2 modes, a barebones repetitive campaign and a multiplayer that really doesn't do anything special, whereas halo had a great campaign which was highly repayable, interesting and was pure fun, it's multiplayer was a stellar competitive experience and also had a social mode for non-competitive games aka big team battle, grifball, but it also had custom games where the players had control, in which they could set up they game how they wanted, it also had forge mode where players could design their maps, then play them on custom games, and it had a great horde mode (Firelight) which could either be a challenging task or just a fun game of customised wave defence, I'm starting to think I'm getting less with my money for destiny compared to Halo Reach or Halo 3... :(. Where as in Destiny you need to pay for the horde mode separately, in halo reach you just need only pay once to get the full product. Edit: I forgot to mention destiny has a fun and intuitive raid, with 6 player co-op, (which surprisingly lacks Bungee's revolutionary match making system they pioneered in 2004, which set the bar for multiplayer user interface on consoles, to a degree that many fist person shooters use it as a result, but Bungee decides not to include it for raids... Seriously ?)but there is only 1 in game aside from dlc. Another point destiny's campaign is only 3 player where as halo's is 4 player, downgrade much? Also they removed split screen which is also disappointing...

I've only just starting play Destiny again (only level 11) but I'm glad to hear this for later on.

Yeah this is a great time to get into Destiny. Will be much better once House of Wolves drops than it was at launch.

idsanty1151d ago

I definitely need to get back into Destiny now.

I have almost 1000 Ascendant Shards... in other words I AM RICH! In Destiny anyhow : )
