I want to know if Firefight is in the works and if we could get at a later stage...

I am still getting through the campaigns

ODST and Halo 2's Relic multiplayer FREE to players who purchased and played the game while connected to Xbox Live prior to December 19= MCC just keeps gettin' better.

Nice way to respect the early adopter fans for the multiplayer launch problems....I think they probably should of extended this offer to Jan because there were significant problems at least through Jan but yeah early adopters were affected most of all, plus they gave out FREE xbox live and other gifts to many fans already.

Yeah they made a MASSIVE blunder with TMCC but if there is one way to rectify it, it is this extremely generous proposition as well as free Xbox Live Gold.

I still applaud them for trying since no one else has done something like it but boy did they miss the landing zone.

dude it wasn't a massive blunder as you want to put it.they messed up on the multiplayer portion of the game but the single player portion work as it should have. Halo isn't a multiplayer only game. their are some people who love the story more.

I clearly think your being extra with your claim of a "massive Blunder" especially since the game can still be played. I can see if the whole game didn't work. then i would agree it was a blunder. but it wasn't. you and many other are being way too dramatic.

some people act like they completely destroyed the game and ruined it. they didn't so calm down with the "massive blunder" and give them credit for atleast putting a collection together for the fans of the game. most dev's would have made you buy every game in the series. yes it could have went better. but i still applaud them for putting all the halo's on one disk and now giving me this game for free.

again thank you 343i

Sorry but it was a massive blunder because :

1. This is Halo. You simply do not mess up a collection that is supposed to be a celebration of a game that single handedly made the Xbox a real proposition in the industry

2. Multiplayer for MANY people is the main attraction of the game, dare I say, the vast majority of Halo fans including myself.

3. It was broken for MONTHS, over 100 days! I'm sorry but that is a huge blunder whatever way you put it.

4. The community numbers have taken a massive hit due to these ongoing problems that have now been resolved.

This is no over dramatisation. Bungie themselves recognise the problem hence why they are cutting MASSIVELY into their profits by releasing ODST for FREE. You think that was an easy decision to make?

Mikefizzled848d ago

Bungie?! Septic do you mean 343i?

Septic848d ago

Sorry Mike, yeah 343 :D

vega275848d ago

Septic you are over dramatic. Yes no one isn't saying they didn't screw u on the multiplayer part. But it isn't the main reason a lot of people played halo or was the reason it put the Xbox on the map. Maybe for you it was. But not for everyone. Many loved the halo lure and followed the story, which again worked.

Could they have did a better job by doing a beta? Yes. They should have maybe it wouldn't have had so many problem because of it. But when many think of halo it's not all about the MP. This isn't CoD where people could careless about the story.

Yep I was a day 1 buyer and while I haven't touched the MP in ages... I mainly bought it for the campaigns because I never played through 2-4... Worth the money for them only I might add. But the fact they knew they messed up, have fixed their mistakes, and apologized with free DLC is outstanding. I love developers like that...

Cool! I don't know what ODst is but it says it's a campaign so I presume it's a singleplayer, with a multiplayer mode? I haven't played MCC in months so it's worth another try

Orbital Drop Shock Tropper. It's one of the better Halo campaigns. It also introduced Firefight (Horde mode).

Oh, and the Soundtrack is amazing.
