I've been playing the beta for about a week now. It's honestly so much fun when you play with a good group.

The first round where my squad and I actually made it to the Patriarch, 6/7 of us got immediately destroyed, but thanks to the heroic efforts of one guy, who ran laps around the map taking pot shots wherever he could, we (he) actually managed to take it down and win us the round. I don't think I've ever rooted for a stranger on the internet more than him.

It's unscripted acts of heroism like that that gives online multiplayer that sort of dynamic quality that is near impossible to find in single player games these days.

I played this so much during the Beta that i burned myself out on it a little, but it's fun. Will be much better with extra content when it's in. I hope the objective mode is much better this time, the game could be much more than a horde based shooter.

Loved playing the Doom 2 modded servers in the first game. The 10-12 player servers were hectic.

Glad to hear there will be at least 3 bosses this time too, Patriarch isn't in yet, they put in Hans the nazi guy so far. But apparently there will be the Matriarch with a mech. Gonna be interesting for sure.

Hands on with the Killing Floor 2 "Tidal Terror" Update

"Like the first game, Killing Floor 2 is a game that just keeps on giving. Even 6 years after release, Tripwire keeps updating the game with new content. The latest update adds a deep-sea oil rig map, new weapons and cosmetics, and quality of life improvements to the venerable first-person co-op shooter. We played several games on the new map and had a blast," says Co-Optimus.
