Ever since Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was "unofficially" announced at the VGA 2012 awards, the game has been nothing but roller coaster ride.
cant tell if this is a publicity stunt or if this guy is just dumb.
Then again this is gamingbolt. This site has been reporting a lot of made up BS based on their own incompetency and made up sensationalized headlines to get hits so I'd take this story with a grain of salt.
This whole thing is so insane, this has to be a big publicity stunt. E3 is going to blow some people's minds when Kojima reveals himself.
reveals himself as big boss?
Im tired of all these MGS5 articles about Kojima. I wouldnt be surprised if some of this was a publicity stunt, but I will also be open minded that its just websites posting anything they can about Kojima.
It's about time someone sued Kojima! He always did this and got away with it. The original Metal Gear had Michael Beihn from Terminator on the cover and Kojima said AS ALWAYS "it's just a coincidence." Then Metal Gear Solid comes out and he says that any resemblance to Snake Plisken or Kurt Russell was again "a coincidence." This POS has never owned up to stealing likenesses because he doesn't want to pay the royalties. He's an assh*le and has always been an assh*le, but somehow you nerds always want to s*ck him off and praise him for being a One Hit Wonder. I heard about this earlier and I hope it sticks. BTW, it's been reported that he's a tyrant when dealing with development team. No surprise Konami had enough of this diva
Let's see: -Code name Solid "Snake" -Goes by the name Iriquois "Plisken" in MGS2 -Unkempt white guy with a mullet and an eye patch who smokes. Not Kurt Russell at all. P.S. Michael Beihn only belongs in one game - Far Cry: Blood Dragon!
They based this whole article on an email from a journalist to the doctor, linking to a picture of the similarities. The doctor responded "I will contact my attourney". That is not even remotely the same as suing anyone for anything. They based the doctor's likeness off of Ian Moore, who is also voice acting the character, and happens to look pretty much identical to this guy.
It's more difficult to read this in Brock Samson's voice than was anticipated.
I read that with kojima's voice lol
It's not Kojima's fault that he looks like a generic (evil) doctor or (mad) scientist xD. He even looks like the Mad Scientist in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons xD
I hope nobody believes the Reddit user that posted this supposed Skype call. Everyone in the comments are calling him out.
I read through the comments. He is actually being called out for being rude in the original post.
This doctor has a planned talk in LA the same time E3 is taking place.
Really? Source please!
I hope his talk starts like this : "I haven't been here in LA in quite some time. Yes, yes, you'd like to know how long. I'm afraid it's been... Nine years. "
I heard this was fake info o_O or is it ? Was searching the web yesterday, and he is attending some event or meeting few days before E3 I think, in Annapolis but not sure about LA. http://aanos.org/meetings/n...
Annapolis is on the wrong coast.
@Glymner Yes I know it is :P. But I haven't found info of him talking in LA aka west coast. Give me a link and I believe.
Confirmed to be a fake twitter account after I posted this. Sorry for the mix up.
I want to sue Naughty Dog for using my likeness "Joe from TLoU". Do you think I should sue now or when the trilogy end?
Kojima must be laughing his ass off since he's not involved in the project anymore. Konami is just have to deal with this lawsuit all by themselves. Way to trolled off Konami, Kojima. He's the GOD of Trolling.
damn Kojima is a genius. serves Konami right.
Why do people think he was fired with immediate effect? It has been stated several times that Kojima is staying on board until MGSV is finished.
He also looks like Hugo Strange (Batman comics) and Mohandas Gandhi. Good luck with that.
Also, like the Fiat guy but with glasses... http://mattosborne.net/cont...
I hope he wins his lawsuit so the court precedent can be set up enough that Dr. Canavaro is sued by the Granny from Looney Toons.
Too bad he's actually based on Ian Moore, a brit living in Japan who I assume had his face scanned into the game.
You should sue that guy out of Platoon and The Last Temptation of Christ.
Yeah well, the TPP doctor also looks really similar to the actor Ian Moore. http://metalgearinformer.co... https://pbs.twimg.com/media... Who actually was the model for the character according to what I've heard. So good luck with that. This reminds me of that old news, where Lindsey Lohan sued Rockstar for using her in GTAV cover or something. Because the babe was blonde. "The doctor plans to sue Kojima and Konami for not only using his likeness but also using his theory of head transplant in The Phantom Pain." Konami or Kojima hasn't given us any solid info of head transplants happening in TPP, well of course they wouldn't if it does. But it's just mostly false info and speculation by fans. Kojima is a genius and can think of using phantom pain theme in his game, instead of copying the doctors work. I like to think this is mostly just a big coincidence. But gotta be prepared for any surprises though :P, because of Kojima's style of revealing stuff in the past. Like Moby Dick Studios trailer etc and that 5 year ago twitter post is weird too.
Didn't people here start going nuts about how Kojima is a genius for correlating the Italian head transplant doctor with the game? How they look SO similar. How it may link to the plotline of the "phantom pain"? And now that the correlation is made, they start saying there is no correlation at all? LOL
If one of these morons actually win a battle like this you know very well I'm going through every single game until I find a character that "looks like me" to get free money. lol
