Charles Dance speaks - I love his take on the voice of Emperor Emhyr! That was a little bit awesome. I'd love to know more about Emperor Emhyr as a whole mind you.

On a side note - Yes video games have grown up, and are not just for kids anymore. This game is definately not for kids. Heck I doubt most of the 'CoD-yo-bro' gamers out there will have the patience to get invested in the world of the witcher.

I love CDPR for the fact that they are developing a game for adults (no - I don't mean because it has sex and swear words in it - that's still such a juvenile perspective). It is a game where you have to think like an adult in terms of the themes and story development, and where the choices you made and the world as a whole is not sanitised.

Question I never played the first two games and i'm not an rpg fan, but this game looks awesome. Is it more in the lines of action like Zelda or is there a lot of magic and spells to learn to make it far in the game

His first gaming project, hope it goes well for him.

If I were you, go to Gamestop and get Witcher 2 (USED). I say used because you can take it back within 7 days and get your money back. But be warned, you'll might not like some things in Witcher 2 (ie camera angles). CD improved a lot things into Witcher 3 because of fan feedback. Or watch a couple of videos of Witcher 2 gameplay.

Yeah, I'd also recommend you get The Witcher 2. It's relatively cheap on steam, or you can get it for the X360. You won't be dissapointed if you like your RPGs with really good strong storylines and lots of action.
Bottom line, if you like games like Skyrim, then you'll love The Witcher 3.

Yeah get Witcher 2, you wont regret it. If you got a PC that can run it then get it here as low as $6.12

I just realized while watching this how much it reminds me of the world of A Song of Ice and Fire. Even Charles Dance has a similar role to play as Tywin Lannister.

He has one of those iconic sounding voices. He does an awesome job as a voice actor for this.

starchild1159d ago

Totally agree. That's one of the things I've loved about this series (and the books).

Charles Dance is a great actor and has an amazing voice. He's going to be awesome as the voice of Emhyr.

Jesus, May is going to be an expensive month. Witcher 3 and Project Cars both on my must buy list.

Kingdomcome2471159d ago

Oh man, I am so freaking pumped for this. I decided to make a concerted effort to get into RPGs this gen after having mostly avoiding them previously. Dragon Age: Inquisition was a nice jumping off point, but this game looks to be epicness incarnate.

The first time I saw Charles Dance was in Alien 3, which is admittedly a not so hot movie.

Still, I had a feeling about Charles and believed that he was capable of taking on some great roles. He's a very convincing and talented actor. Glad he's in the game.
