MMGN: Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China successfully reinvents a saturated series, albeit briefly. It’s a new way to play Assassin’s Creed, and China makes for a great setting, with a simplified focus on stealth platforming that removes the clutter of the 3D games and makes for a compelling short experience. There are moments of frustration, with combat and occasional control gaffs, but the level design plays to its strengths and it's nice to go into Assassin's Creed with no idea how it's going to play. But we're only one third into Chronicles. The real challenge will be keeping it fresh for two more games, even part one rehashed too much content, before getting fans excited for Victory. There's a lot of Creed coming this year, but it's off to a good start.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and more are also on sale.
Ubisoft is currently offering Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China for free on UPLAY.

Stinks that they wasted the Chinese setting on this game. An asian setting would be great as an open world Assassins Creed game.
