Over 350,000 PS4 & Xbox One consoles sold in the UK this year

Over 350,000 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles have already been sold in the UK this year, according to a report in MCV.

350,000 combined PS4 and Xone sales sound very good. But like everyone else, im very curious to know what the actual split in sales numbers are. Either way, its great to see the PS4 doing so well in the US and UK which used to be Microsofts strongest markets.

It's been about 2:1 since release hasn't it? Give or take a bit. I imagine the breakdown here is about that.

280k for PS4 and 70k for Xbone .

I doubt the gap is that high. The XB1 has done pretty well in the UK so far. Ps4 is definitely the higher selling console, but i doubt by that much

The XB1 is £299 with a game. You can also get cash back and a second game at some places.

The PS4 is £329 with no game, or $349 with one game. About £50 of a difference or more considering the XB1 bundles. PS4 is still outselling the XB1 though.

People just have to accept that price isn't everything.

There's also the public perception of the product, the products quality, the products software offering etc.

But its good to see the competition do well as well.

Also people who had 360's as a first time gamer probably had many die on them and thought to themselves...I am never getting another MS console. So past seems to have haunted MS

To be honest the Xbox only does well in the UK vs the rest of Europe. Keep in mind the XB1 was bundled with FIFA at launch, and there has been esessentially 3 price cuts in the UK. Over Xmas we may get a 2 games bundle for £299.

sounds like healthy numbers for the years quiet period after the holidays . those sales rates should increase with big games like BB , witcher , and batman adding fuels to the sales fire .
