Wonder how they'll pull this off if it's full mocap animations for takedowns? Also considering that it's an RPG? hmmm...
This is mostly played from a first person perspective. So i'm guessing the performance capture will be for the third person takedowns as well as sticking to cover and using other augmentations. Loved Human revolution. I hope they take everything they learned and make it even better.
You're probably right. Either way, it seems like it will help the game bridge the uncanny valley.

It's not necessarily classified as a FPS, technically - plus there are many third person sections. During the stealth portions and the take downs, there's a clear image of Jensen - as well as in the game's many cutscenes.

Deus Ex sure needed full mo-cap. Glad it's getting it. I can only imagine what it'll do for its awesome graphics.
Mo-cap is the least thing that i'm expecting from MD. I want clever level design, smart A.I., replayability and other things that made HR a diamond:)
Games have been doing this for well over a decade... Metal Gear Solid 2 was fully mo-capped for crying out loud.
