The most pre-ordered games in the USA ranked by unit sales: 1 Halo 5: Guardians (XOne) 2 Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) 3 Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4) 4 The Elder Scrolls Online (XOne) 5 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4) 6 Bloodborne (PS4)
Already at top. halo effect to you.
Looks like the most anticipated game this hear is halo 5. It sure is my most anticipated game I can't wait!
after last trailer who can not be excited for Halo 5
I can't believe that Elder Scrolls online is so far up there
I was thinkin the exact same thing. I guess console players want it. I'm personally waiting for the reviewers.
I'm interested to see how it turns out, but definitely won't order until I see some reviews and gameplay.
Console gamers who havent looked into it on PC, dont realize that it's not Skyrim co-op...and instead its World of Warcraft in Elder Scrolls skin. I still pray they make the next Elder Scrolls co-op...but you wont see me playing ESO, that game is a travesty.
@Dee_Cazo: I realize what it is. I like MMOs that are at least entertaining. I don't expect Skyrim co-op. Anyone with half a brain wouldn't expect that. Otherwise they would just patch in co-op into Skyrim. I don't think most people are thinking the way you think they are. Most gamers know how a game will play when they see "MMO" attached to it.
HALO <3 can't wait!
Halo 5 will easily be the biggest release this year.
Not really an opinion, arguably the most successful franchise having a new entry launch this year makes it very likely
which is funny cause it's barely leading Batman on ps4 but it has no realse date so those will spike obviously. I anticipate Batman to spike to closer to release.
It does have a release date. 10/27/2015
easily be the biggest release?? I'll give you two reasons it won't be. The definition of biggest release for starters means it will either sell the most or get the highest score. I bet it won't do either. COD will easily sell the most purely because its trash but people buy it every single year like sheep and as for score we have already had some great games but feel there are games like Witcher 3, MGS5 and Batman that could beat it out especially if the beta is anything to go by. Not to mention Bloodbourne is already the title to beat this year with a Metacritic rating of 92 (higher than H4, Master Chief Collection and Reach the last 3 Halo games) Not to say it won't be an amazing 9/10 exclusive for xbox it probably will be or it may not be as this will be the first game not built at all by bungie (last Halo game wasn't Bungies but built on there old resources) so it's going to need something special to make it the hit MS wants it to be. Not to mention since Bungie has left no Halo game has over a 9 Metacritic rating. I just think its got a lot of stiff competition this year with some great titles coming out that are multiplatform too. So to say it will easily be the biggest release this year is just being ignorant and ignoring all other games.
Sorry but it's going to be the biggest game of the year no doubt. Only one thing counts as being a huge title, ...sells! It's going to surpass Bloodborne easy in sells. But for ratings, it'll be close or slightly better. Batman, MGS5 and Witcher 3 are multiplats and so that's obvious. But no doubt Halo is a console seller. Especially considering the fact XOne is the cheapest console. So I wouldn't be surprise to see a surge in console sells for XOne from here til' Halo release.
Or maybe he was referring to the biggest release this year for xbox? When you say biggest release I feel you are taking about sales. If you were to say the best release of the year, I would assume you were talking about review scores. Halo 5 will without a doubt sell 3 million copies within the the first 3 months easy which I feel will make it the biggest release of the year for xbox. The only system i see beating those sales this year within that time span is the 3ds. Do you see Sony or Nintendo releasing a game this year that has the following that halo does? Zelda or Uncharted maybe but those got pushed so I can definitely see Halo being the biggest release of the year but we shall see, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
PS4 dominating the top 25
More than people realize. vgchartz has been shown to be incorrect time and again while Amazon has shown itself to be a very good litmus test for the current status of video game and game hardware sales. The hourly bestseller list which includes preorders doesn't have HALO 5 in the top 100. Meanwhile the number 2 item which includes the game is the Batman Arkham Knight PS4. In effect this makes the number one preordered game at Amazon is Arkham Knight on PS4. It will not be cataloguesd as such because it is in with the console. Mortal Kombat X on the PS4 is actually the most preordered game there. Best Buy is similar with the AK PS4 the number 2 item but again, that copy of the game doesn't qualify. Again with Best Buy, they also have Mortal Kombat X on PS4 as their most preordered item. I do not count Bloodborne or other released games because technically they are no longer a preorder.
How? The same games that are preordered for PS4 are preorder for X1. And all those make up the top 25. The only difference is that PS4's preorders are higher up in that top 25 list (for obvious reasons).
You just answered your own question.
w/ 3rd party games
PS4 has 7 in top 10 that's pretty impressive
Not really considering it has twice as many owners. Halo being 1 when it's not even close to being released is impressive.
lol 2x as many users 3/4 the top 10. I don't see the issue. lol okay buddy
@kingbain90 Methinks you miss the irony of what you said...the ps4 having 7 in the top 10 is impressive precisely because they once again show their diversity, whereas there is only Halo for xbone. No diversity. More diversity > less diversity = every time.
7.4 million is 2x 6.7 million? Apparently i've been doing math wrong my whole life.
World wide yes but the US it is still close. This is for the US.
The disagree tears taste great thanks guys.
These made up numbers are incredible..
Halo 5 on top!? Damn, and this is before they even started the Halo #HunttheTruth marketing. I'm glad to see that people still love Halo and can't wait to see some actual in-game campaign gameplay. The Hype is real!
Beta played great should be good only console game I am looking forward to atm.
