In the latest episode of the Inner Circle podcast, [email protected] director Chris Charla discussed Microsoft’s imprint on the independent video game development market with the original Xbox Live Arcade and Summer of Arcade.
They need to bring back XBL Summer Arcade it was a huge success on 360 and it really made up 360's lack of exclusive games with great indie arcade games. This is a MUST bring it back MS.
Summer of Arcade was always awesome and I couldn't wait to see what they had lined up when this even came around the corner. I agree with Angelic, this needs to come back to 360 and X1 as well as Kotaku reviewing the XNA games for 360. I always enjoyed them going through the many, many games XNA had and picking out the best ones.
I loved the summer arcade specials, especially when they would have deals like by 4 and get 1200 MS points Ps how'd u get bubbles back when you got stomped to one?
He is one hundred percent correct on this. They did pick the best of the indies and made them arcade title, then the summer of arcades was the absolute cream of the crop.
They brought forth some of the best indies that are still considered classics to this day. Limbo, Braid, Super Meat Boy, etc.
Time will have no effect on Braid.... Brilliant game.
Good lord... does any site on N4G these days actually do their own news sourcing/interviews? This is the 3rd or 4th story that is pulling info from The Inner Circle Podcast interview. Then we have countless "we saw it on NeoGaf" stories, Job listing = facts stories and of course "I saw it on Twitter" news. Here is a thought...how about actually doing an interview and getting actual news for a change?
lmao hey Dlacy, I feel what your saying buddy but we don't mind the exposure. I guess the more people see the different conversations, some maybe interested enough to click the link and listen. Hopefully even subscribe for awesome content ya know. But I definitely get where your coming from homey. I've seen it time and time again.
UNO RUSH was the game in summer arcade lol.
