GTA Online Suspend Mode Issue Acknowledged by Rockstar, Fix Outlined

PSLS: While PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.50 brought with it the highly awaited Suspend/Resume feature, it seems not every game is as cooperative with the console’s new (and optional) rest mode update.

Case in point: Grand Theft Auto Online is one of the few games that seems to be suffering. Over on the official Rockstar support forum, Rockstar outlines a fix for the GTA Online suspend mode glitch that’s sure to be plaguing quite a handful of online players.

Should improve the multiplayer stability as well. Still having problems at least on the Xbox One. No excuses when you make almost $3 billion, have one of the largest dev teams, and an insane budget budgets.

I agree it's pretty ridiculous, the game has sold more than 40 million copies and STILL takes a lot longer than it should to connect to a session on PS4. It was faster on PS3 about a year ago.

"No excuses when you make almost $3 billion, have one of the largest dev teams, and an insane budget budgets."

Here's one great excuse. New feature have bugs! and Bugs takes time to fix! It takes more time because the issues are new! Money can't buy solutions.Big teams can solve solutions faster, but there is still a learning curve.. since its new

@OpenGL
speak for your own ISP, connecting to a session is much faster on ps4 than ps3 for me.

Precisely, its not like rockstar knew suspend and resume would mess up their online its pretty obvious that if you start an online game and resume it later that network issues will occur just quit application and restart again problem solved

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing691d 14h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
