Borderlands: The Handsome Collection review – defying Destiny | Metro

It has gazillions of guns, and almost as much DLC, but can the HD remasters of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel match up to Destiny?

There can surely be no two franchises that are both so similar and so different as Borderlands and Destiny. Borderlands got there first of course, in terms of loot-based co-op shooters, but its irreverent comedy stylings couldn’t be more different from the dry, humourless world of Destiny. Destiny certainly has the better gunplay but Borderlands has much greater variety, which makes it hard to say which is the better game. Especially after this new HD remaster.

The story is too old to be commented.
