How does Bloodborne compare to Dark Souls, and do you really have to be a fan of the latter to enjoy the new PS4 game?
Agreed. All you need is patience, the ability to plan ahead, and be able to plan your attacks on the fly.
absolutely not. demons soul fan here. >=)
Never played a Dark Souls game and instantly found Bloodborne amazing. *Mild Spoilers* I've never felt actually tense in a game before, as when I was wandering around Central Yharnam and went into the pitch-black house without a lantern and no blood vials. Insanely scary moment.
I agree Fox. I never thought I'd be interested in this type of game. Glad I went ahead and pre ordered it. I'm stuck on Father G.... But I love it.
Gotta stun with the gun, then run and stun, and follow up said stuns with a in close execution move. It was really hard but once u get good at stunning it's manageable. There's also something else that would help but I've already said too much.... 😐 On topic: I couldn't get into the souls games, but I'm heavily invested in Bloodborne. Just awesome. And I suck at it, but I still think it's awesome
I never played them because they looking frustratingly difficult but I love Bloodbourne and glad I gave it a try.
Nope. I played souls once and didn't like it due to the gameplay. I'm loving bloodborne though. It's gotten into my head!!
Not if you're a sadist....
No but if you love Bloodborne then you owe it to yourself to check out Demon Souls and Dark Souls if you haven't already.
is because of blood borne Im going get dark soul 2 for ps4 and few months down the line I try to get 1. I outsmart Father Gascoigne I was od happy when I beat him
I actually found Father Gascoigne before I beat the other boss, he seems like he has a lot of moves, I only got him to around 60% hp when I first fought him.
Father Gascoigne was an amazing fight. Very tense trying to dodge, hit, dodge, counter while he was doing the same thing. It felt like a coordinated fight you'd see on a movie. What I love the most though is that feeling of being lost and not knowing what's around the next corner, the feeling I had when I played Demon's Souls for the first time. There is nothing like that feeling.
I totally agree. Bubble up buddy. The sense of tension going into almost any new area of the game is such a compelling aspect of the game, makes you always want to push farther, and it always feels like a risk.
Last time I had that feeling was starting New Vegas for the first time and just being in wonder at what's out there. I miss that. Hopefully Fallout 4 comes next year. Until then Witcher 3 maybe.
Yes We all get the formula. It's the same basic formula of Demon's Souls and in the game industry when a formula is popular it's repeated over and over until it stops being successful. We get it.
Not at all. But it does make the difficulty more bearable if you've played either Demon's or Dark Souls.
For sure. I often thought that had I never played the three games prior to this, I would be getting my ass kicked so much worse. There are a lot of little things borrowed from the previous games which knowing beforehand is paramount to trodding ahead. It will probably save you around 50 deaths if you've played the others. If not, yeah you'll love it, but you're going to take it in the pail for a solid 20 hrs.
Never played a Souls game & don't plan to,but decided to dive into Bloodborne & so far I'm enjoying it even though I just started it.What really drew me in was the hack n slash style gameplay though it's ordinary from other h&s games. This game keeps you on your toes..you definitely need to plan, plot,be very cautious & aggressive.
im all for any quality games that offer a good but fair challenge. Nintendo hard no hand holding is the way to go and a great sense of adventure you get it in bloodborne.
Nope, got bored with Dark souls after a few hours. Still loving Bloodborne, soo much better.
Never played a Souls game. Loving every second of Bloodborne. It took a couple of hours until I found my Bloodborne mojo, but now I'm kicking ass and relishing every second. It's actually not too difficult as long as you're patient. And if you're having a hard time all you have to do is level yourself up and/or play multiplayer. From Software/Sony Japan knocked this one out of the park.
Nope. I only played Dark Souls 2 but I really didn't like it. Loving Bloodborne at the moment. It's a fantastic game.
Bloodborne is amZing! Even the voice acting is great! never played ds, but thiz game is not to be missed!
Simon Belmont move over there's a new monster Hunter in town.
I tried all of them Demon Souls / Dark Souls 1 and 2 didn't enjoy them , but damn I sure enjoy Bloodborne I am 4th boss atm :D
Not necessarily, you just need to like those types of games. I don't.
