It's almost like Nintendo said to themselves, "Wii U sales have never lived up to expectations. Let's no longer fight for it. Let's just kill sales completely."

Why, why on Earth, if you're not going to release a new console until the end of 2016 at the earliest, would you, at the beginning of 2015, announce A.) you're going to release that new console at the end of 2016, and B.) you're going to delay the 1 game that EVERYone is waiting to play on Wii U to 2016?

Both of the announcements should have come much, much later. The NX announcement not until spring of 2016 at the earliest and the Zelda announcement not until Gamescom or the Tokyo Game Show later this year.

Wii U sales might dip down to the single digits at some point this year.

Nintendo already said why they announced the NX because they didn't want people to think they lost passion for making dedicated gaming devices with all the smartphone announcements.

Nintendo never said they would release a console in 2016, they said we might hear some new info on the NX in 2016.

As far as Wii U sales "dipping" into the "single digits" I don't even know what that means, I THINK you are making a joke.

Im not happy with the delay, but has a multi console owner with so many great games releasing and my backlog i will not miss Zelda WiiU much. And if the delay its to get the game at that high level of polish and enjoyment that Nintendo games use to have, that quality seal than be it!

the fact that no e3 and that it was suppose to release this year means they will hold off till next console ? and for splatoon with no voice chat ..... ive given up on nintendo and online... best to expect nothing because you wont be dissapointed as far as online goes but hell look at xboxone and them taking away voice messages, then on 360 taking away avatar netflix viewing with buddies/ladies who you would be trying to get boob shots from lol those were the days

No. It still releasing this year. Nintendo didn't confirm any delay.

NX is coming til late 2017 or 2018.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
