WrestleMania 31 Weekend - The Best Wrestling Games of All Time

Stu at Sushimonster85 writes 'Like WrestleMania itself, wrestling games tend to blow hot and cold. Some are fantastic (like WrestleMania 17), considered to be among the best games on their respective consoles. Some are awful (looking at you WrestleMania 9) and are among the worst. Some are forgettable (WrestleMania 11), and some are just plain weird (WrestleMania 2000). WWF No Mercy on N64. While we are on the topic of wrestling games what happened to WWE Wrestlefest on consoles?

That's exactly why I clicked on this article: Wrestlefest! I used to play the living hell out of that game in the arcade, 50 cents to play the entire Royal Rumble or try to win one of the titles, fantastic game and ahead of it's time in a lot of ways.

I really enjoyed Here Comes the Pain. And one of the old WCW games. I think it was a PS1 game. Can't remember. It had Goldberg in it which was good enough for me.

I want to add WWF Royal Rumble on the Megadrive as well.

Smackdown Here Comes the Pain is still my favourite WWE game.

Did anyone have that old WWF game on the game boy? I seem to remember owning one, but can't remember its name.

There were quite a few of them on Gameboy, I used to have them all even though most of them were basically the same. My Gameboys (I had 4 or 5 different ones at one point) along with about 65 games were stolen from me by a roommate years ago unfortunately.

While I think everybody who played No Mercy will agree its the best of the genre - least in recent memory, Fire Pro Wrestling (particularly Returns) deserves a place in the top 5.
