Dust 514, the PlayStation 3 first-person shooter created by CCP to tie into Eve Online, had a rocky beginning, and the game seemed to be on its last legs during Fanfest 2014. Much has changed in a year, according to CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson.
Perhaps they should put in on PS4 next
Wait so the game wasn't profitable all these past years?! this is insane.
2 years you mean? :P
Hold on... people are still playing this? I thought this game was dead lol
Lol yes people still play this game...I will play it here and there
Honestly I had completely forgoten this game, partly due to the very small HDD space my console has left... I remember not being able to download Dust 514.
never heard of it
Too bad it never even got close to where they said it would. I mean in regards to the scope of the game. I gave up on it when CCP gave up on their initial vision. The day they announced all the new things the were going to add were cancelled and they would be only in a support mode and not a development mode made me sad, I moved on.
Dust was a little to ambitious for its time, and maybe even the developers. You had to be a very dedicated gamer to A. play a game that was probably more team based than battlefield. B. Grind out like an MMO. and C. play a game that looked and ran like absolute garbage. However, I did enjoy the game for a bit, I just think that they shoulda went right to PS4. Lastly, this is the first game ever to crossplay 2 different games on different platforms of different genres at the same time.
Well said! Bubs up.
I really didn't like the game at all I thought BF3 was a much better game so I didn't play it much.
