Is there a way to create better replay value for narrative-based games?
for real "proceduraly generated" you need an advanced intelligent AI, nothing close to it exist today. but as far as multiple-path storytelling, Heavy Rain is still the best to attempt it, Byound2Souls was a step back in that regard.
Not to mention advanced speech synthesis and voice recognition software. It will be cool when it happens though... in like 20 years.
I understand the point about speech synthesis because one of my first thoughts was about all the different dialog that would have to be recorded, (though I supposed the entire story could be about robots lol) but why voice recognition?
