VRFocus - Sony Computer Entertainment's (SCR) Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4 may have seen an update this week but the company is still choosing to showcase the kit with tech demos over full videogames. Despite this, it appears that SCE is hoping to bring full-sized titles to its kit and is actively encouraging developers to do so. In fact, the company is reportedly 'confident' that users will be able to spend hours playing role-playing titles and shooters with the new version of Project Morpheus.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
Recent findings in the latest PSVR2 software update, indicates that PlayStation is already starting to implement support for PC.
The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
Warner Bros. Discovery is closing down Adult Swim Games, delisting its published games. Thus putting Rick and Morty VR in jeopardy.
Can some one make a game like sword art online, and in first person view. Come on some one make it happen!!! Im a 26 year old guy And i would Play the brains out of it.
At least from Ubisoft they have stated they will not dev games for morpheus until it sells atleast 1 million units..Which imo majority of the bigger devs/ pubs will do and follow suit with UBi.Sooo Sony peeps buy/ support Morpheus when it comes out So Ubi can get 2work on a title
Sony need more full-sized RPGs and more with or without Morpheus imo.
As long as most first person games are compatible with Morpheus I'll be happy.
Great but i don't want everything to be in first person.
