The Wii U again tries to capitalize on Nintendo’s strong line of franchise characters. Ride along rainbow strings as you control Kirby in his newest adventure that has the loveable pink puffball navigating a world made up of colourful clay.
BLG writes: "Kirby has been a Nintendo staple since he was first introduced on the Gameboy in 1992 so ranking the best Kirby games is no easy task. Created by Masahiro Sakurai and HAL Laboratory, the little pink puff-ball has made an appearance on every Nintendo console and handheld. While there are over 30 games with Kirby’s name attached, we’re only going to rank the 17 main storyline games."
"It's hard not to love Kirby and Yoshi but what if you had to choose between the two? Let's explore them as characters as well as take a look at their games and see which cutie comes out on top." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Some of the best Wii U games have yet to be ported to Switch, so GCP have come up with their top 10 Wii U ports they want to see still come to Nintendo Switch.
Xenoblade X, Star Fox Zero, and Super Mario 3D World/Maker are the best bets IMO.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions,Xenoblade X and The Wonderful 101 are the only ones I want now.
Unfortunately this game fell victim to the same kind of problem that so many other Nintendo games do, it is ruined by a gimmick. Having to draw on the gamepad while playing the game, constantly looking back and forth between the TV and gamepad just ruins the immersion. Another example of how distracting the gamepad is when playing games, what a shame that Nintendo built the entire console around that gimmick.
The only real complain about this game are that using the TV is counter productive and that game is short. But this:
>The line drawing mechanic is fun, but is a little clunky and can lead to a lot of mistakes. Many times I missed collectables in levels because Kirby latched onto the wrong line, or I ran out of Ink. All of this can be cured by what I’m sure is simple practice
Just makes the author sound like he didn't really try to play the game. I mean, what he talks about is something you get over in ten minutes or so
Shame because the graphics look great, the claymation bit is something I haven't seen. I might pull the trigger on this when it goes on sale in the next couple of months..
