So in all speculations its bigger than Skyrim. Not bad at all. No wonder the car is needed. Still though, i will walk everything.

Hopefully the game delivers in its gameplay and story.

Abriael3339d ago

If what we've seen is the map, it seems to be a LOT bigger than skyrim, unless scales are all out of whack.

DarkOcelet3339d ago

I hope you are right my friend. I want this game to be massive. We all have been waiting for this game from 2006 or something. Its the least they can do to make it worth our wait. And offcourse my faith in SE will be restored if the game is great.

Harkins17213339d ago

the full game is at least 10x the amount of the Duscae region. It looks to be huge alright. I cant wait to find the many secrets over the vast world. Hopefully secret dungeons with cameo battles like in the Tales of series.

DarkOcelet3339d ago

So sorry, disagreed by mistake :(

I cant wait too my friend. The game looks so damn good and begs to be explored. I am going to take my sweet time with it.

HentaiMasterRace3339d ago

All I'm going to do is literally walk around in the demo. Can't wait!!

If you've played the older FF series prior to FFX, then you'll now what to expect from an open world as its following the design of the older entries.

DarkOcelet3339d ago

To be honest. I want it to be like FFXII in terms of open world. It was really amazing. People hating on the game really baffled me.

Anyways the game looks like its gonna be a beast.

Harkins17213339d ago

@1.2.1 Haha it happens. Got to make sure I dont spoil myself while im at it. lol

Magicite3339d ago

size doesn't matter as long as its fun and will make me occupied for over 100 hours.

To be honest, I'm kind of tired of people wondering how large the map is.

Personally, I prefer density over mass space. If the world of FF15 is just one empty space then I'd be disappointed. Part of what made FF jrpgs magical where its towns and dungeons. The world map was usually just the moody interim before you reach the next location.

Not that I want an open-world map. Of course, I'd love open world wilderness, but it's just I see that too many people place a lot of emphasis on that. Gigantic sandboxes was already a thing at the beginning of the last generation of consoles. Now, developers should be aiming for interesting density.

DarkOcelet3339d ago

Red Dead Redemption wasn't exactly what you call dense but was so damn interesting even though it could be very empty sometimes. But you never feel bored it was just done perfectly in terms of atmosphere. You really felt like you are in the wild west. If they can achieve the realism they are trying to do here then it will be amazing to explore and i a pretty sure it wont be just empty spaces and those nights/days and weather system will surely makes the game very interesting.

Eamon3339d ago

But it was dense in the sense you mention - interesting.

That is inherently what I mean. I don't just want to pass by and gaze at visuals. I want stuff happening that sets the mood or adds to the world.

My current view is post-Dragon Age Inquisition. I was very disappointed how all the regions were virtually the same; open and empty with different graphics and just full fetch-quests.

Donnywho3339d ago

FFXV, MGS5, Bloodborne heh heh heh

DarkOcelet3339d ago

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled2d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog134d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake134d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic132d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan133d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman134d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator134d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno133d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior134d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake134d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
