MM9 Confirmed for PSN and XBLA Release ; Plus IGN blowout

So far, games downloaded from Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel have remained split into two distinct categories; classics from the Virtual Console and all-new efforts on WiiWare. But Capcom is throwing a welcomed wrench into the system with the fall release of Mega Man 9, a title that mixes old and new – namely, a classic 8-bit graphical presentation with ground-up levels and play mechanics.

"Additionally, we've got some news to report. First, Capcom has confirmed to IGN that Mega Man 1 and 2 will be coming to the Virtual Console soon. And second, Mega Man 9 will also release for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network respectively. No, it's not a WiiWare exclusive, but nevertheless, it's going to make an excellent addition to the libraries of all three consoles. " (Mega Man 9, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)
