Until Dawn the upcoming adventure survival horror video game from Supermassive Games, is scheduled for a summer 2015 release.
Summer release? Yeah... I can almost guarantee you it will be delayed into October.
I wouldn't bet against you but we shall see.
really looking forward to this game..i hope it's still playable with move controller.
Parts of September are still *technically* summer...
Halloween release is perfect for a game like this
September is better. Just as people are getting into the halloween spirit. Late September specifically
It'll be scheduled to release at Haloween. Free marketing that way. I'm calling 27th Oct for US, and 30th Oct for EU and UK.
You release it too close to halloween and people lose interest as soon as the day passes. Early October / Late September are the preferable release dates. Couple that with advertising right until Halloween to capitalize on the season.
Seems like Cinematic games are catching on; Heavy Rain, Beyond Ts, Until Dawn and Quantum Break.
Can we make it obvious and clear that this game DOES have quicktime events in it? Just so people don't act so stupid to downplay this game upon release! Thanks!
QTEs in the order were known for months, nobody should have been surprised
That it will. Silent Hills may have Daryl, but Until Dawn has a bunch of dorky teens to scare the crap out of.
I love cinematic interactive games like this. I am not a MP fan anymore, too many button mashing mindless crap! I am buying this day one! Also I hope Beyond Two Souls is remastered because I didn't get to play it but loved Heavy Rain and Farenheight/Indigo Prophecy
Always look forward to a new game
Its my most anticipated release. I love scary games.
No multiplayer? Linear? Short game? This game literally has all of the things that the order does. Prepare to see incredibly low scores from this game and crazy amounts of hate. And honestly, if it doesn't... Then these "journalists" are so hypocritical its disgusting. If you're going to bash things, at least be consistent.
Two words. HEAVY RAIN. It has so many of the same "shortcomings" of The Order: 1886 and was well-received critically, and won legitimate awards (BAFTA). Screw these horrific reviewers. They cannot be trusted to uphold simple standards and consistency across a multitude of game types, and haven't for years. What are they being paid for again? To misrepresent legitimately good experiences, because they don't fit their narrow criteria about what makes a game. To snuff out diversity. The dudebros and the hypocrites can hate away, but I know that I am looking forward to Until Dawn because of Heavy Rain - it's looking to take what that game did 5 years ago and take it to the next level in terms of branching storyline and visual complexity.
Wow all the hidden comments shocking. Hey guys this game should be delayed for halloween too right I'd love to have a scare on Halloween sadly if the game come out before I'd crack and buy day one as always btw off topic the order is awesome loved it and playing again right now, on topic until dawn has multiple endings gunna be great, loving ps4 2015 and beyond
I was surprised by all those hidden coments as well considering there is far worse coments on this site that arent hidden. Something is going on here. Anyways, I played this during psx and I really liked what I was playing, reminded me alot of Heavy Rain which was one of my favorite games last gen. If it releases this summer it would be perfext considering all the heavy hitters later on in the year.
Wow so many flagged comments wtf. Until dawn looks great. Until its playable people should hold off on the hate. If developers don't try something new every once in a games are gonna suffer. The market to some had become stale but if those people tried some of these new, interesting, and even innovative games they would realize how wrong they were.
Absolutely can't wait for this game. I loved The Walking Dead season1 so this decision making point and click is right up my alley! And it looks stunning!
