Nintendo will be streaming a presentation on Xenoblade Chronicles X in Japan later this week. The stream will take place on Friday, February 6th at 1o pm JST, and will showcase the game’s vast world.
This is going to be epic.
AWW YEAH!! - in Wario voice Mario Gol 64
Fun fact, I'm friends with the guy who voiced Wario and Luigi in the Mario Kart games :D But yes, this is gonna be epic! Back to that old-skool jrpg flavah!
Im definitely down for this. I love my rpgs and if its a good one im all in!!!!
No need to show it. Its a day one buy for any true fan of the genre and a MUST for WiiU owners, since its one of a kind (among other things).
Sadly, I don't see it selling too well. A bit too overwhelming for the casuals. COD, Assassins Creed, GTA, you can just jump straight in and then back out - 10 minute missions. Games such as this require more time and focus too really get the rewards - which if like it's predecessor are plentiful.
Well I know what I will be doing Friday!
Sorry... that sucks bud lol. Unless you like your job then that's cool? lol.
can they please just fix the character models?
depends what you mean by fixing, i like them the way they are.
What do you like about them? In my opinion, the world in XCC is beautiful, so beautiful that it makes the subpar character models look even worse in comparison. The models arent a deal breaker for me, but I wish Monolith would put as much time and effort into them as they did the incredible open world.
@bigger boss I beleve the reason the main player looks strange because hr is a avatar and can be made to look how you like facealy. And if you played Xenoblade you remember the armor vastly changes how you look soooo... I am hopeing the avatars we have seen are going to look better when we design them.
Yes the whole "make your character" thing is also true, but lets not forget they are aiming the whole "anime" type of style for the characters, and because of that their character models are pretty good, plus, if the previous xenoblade teached us something, is that its not the graphics of a character that will make you fall in love or not for the game, because lets be honest about it, Xenoblade for the Wii had awfull characters graphics, and was one of my most loved games to today.
so you want em to delay the game to just fix the faces. Are you going to constantly spend hours upon hours starring at the characters faces.
There's nothing to "fix". The designs harken back to the Xenogears days, they're intended to be like that. It's like asking Nomura to "fix" the NSync boy band in FFXV.
@MrSwankSinatra: You know their is a character customization within the game right? So you can tweak till you like what you see. The Character models are a very small complaint for me considering EVERYTHING that is on offer and on the table for content. The ONLY thing I want is for Xenoblade Chronicles X story to somehow be connected to Xenoblade Chronicles 1 in some way, shape or form. Even a nod within one of the side quests would be ok for me. I also hope Monolith doesn't fully discard the story behind the Monado blade. I really enjoy finding out more about the blade and what cool powers it unlocks over time. Would be cool if it was maybe a Secret weapon you could get for killing a unique creature within X.
It's not connected at all, if anything, it'll connect (or have similar themes) to Xenogears and Xenosaga instead. The Zohar was already shown in the E3 story trailer.
Part of the reason the rest of the game is able to look and run so smooth is possibly because of the cut back on character models. I think they look fine though. Them looking 20% better isn't going to make the game play better or anything.
For what it is worth, you can at least create your own customized protagonist. Unfortunately, the small black-haired girl will forever have those creepy, large doll-like eyes. I'll never understand Japan's fascination for such things.
I hope we get a release date
I couldn't care less about enormous worlds. Exploration is fine in certain games like Skyrim and Zelda but not every game needs it. What a crappy trend.
I wonder if Shulks Amiibo will work with the game.
