lol, banning people for taking advantage of something that you screwed up on/failed to take into account.

Remove illegitimately gained stuff and move on. You should be embarrassed, not vindictive, for having bugs in your game.

That is like them selling me a car and they accidentally gave me the bonus package with leather seats at no extra charge.

They discover this 3 days later and proceed to ban me from buying a car from them ever again.

not exactly the same...but you get the point.

pretty clearly in the TOS that you cant do this very thing.

SilentNegotiator1235d ago

That doesn't make their actions any less petty.

Im not saying i agree with it wholeheartedly. I just think if you like the game and you do this, you are only hurting the thing you love.

To be fair the players knew what they were doing. Wasn't like they happened in to it unknowingly. Devs could have done a better job, but the players could have not taken advantage.

Its a touchy subject for sure. The devs should make sure things like this don't get put in the game. But if they do what do you think should happen? No game is bug free, and mmo's are always going to have bugs with new content updates.

You could just do a complete rollback every time, but then the majority of players, the ones who did not exploit, would have their progress wiped. It's a lose lose. People know when they are exploiting. You rush to get as many of something before they find out. Ie you know it is a mistake and wont be there forever.
