When the Xbox One debuted in November 2013, you couldn’t buy it without a Kinect sensor in the box. Microsoft billed the Kinect as an integral part of the Xbox One system and assured customers it would be used in all sorts of interesting ways.
I got mine in a discounted bundle so it was only $50 extra. I like it, I can be playing a game and change the volume with 3 words, among numerous other features like Skype. I'm wondering if the new VR/AR devices will require a camera?
Yes it is
It's good for ancilliary features but motion controls still don't work right for games.
