Everything You Need To Know About The Order: 1886

Discover history’s darkest secret in The Order: 1886, the game that re-writes history by introducing a unique vision of Victorian-Era London, where Man uses advanced technology to battle a powerful and ancient foe. In an alternate history where myths and technology co-exist, players take on the role of Sir Galahad, a hardened member of an elite order of Knights engaging in a centuries-old war that will determine the course of history forever.

The story is too old to be commented.

I wonder who will review this game now that Colin and Greg have left IGN. I don't care for review scores, but unfortunately this game has fallen victim to the fanboy wars just because the devs are trying a new approach to story-telling. I've got mine on pre-order already so I'm not going to be swayed either way.

Either Vince, Marty, or Dustin... And all three of those guys seem to have a notion in there head the game sucks... So I don't think they'll review it favorably.

Ryan and Mitch love Xbox but they are level. They don't hate on Sony. Both of them do articles and Podcast Beyond for Sony related stuff. There are still a lot of good people at IGN. It's ok to have preference.

Oh absolutely.. it's how I feel about Greg and Colin who only work at ibn now for podcast beyond. But the 3 I listed above have been saying all year that the game isn't right and I think they just have it in their heads as a preconceived notion that they'll review it negatively.

But yeah it's ok to have preferences. I just don't like personal bias getting in the way honest objective insights and professional integrity in a field where your words can mean the closure to a studio or its salvation. Because seriously put several game studios have closed due to the words of critics, even if their games were solid experiences, biased opinions on their games from journalists negatively effected sales and led to their closure.

it annoys me that only one employee reviews games on these gaming websites. Many games rely on great reviews to sell, so to have one person's opinion on a game they either like or didn't like decides whether the casual gamer should purchase it. Game reviewers are no different to any of us, that is why games should only be rated when multiple employees have reviewed the game to inform us of likes/dislikes.

Hated just for the fun of hating it

I like Guy, but that haircut probably has something to do with the hate.

Are the cutscenes ingame or prerendered?

Letthewookiewin1353d ago

There are absolutely no pre-rendered cut scenes everything is in game.
