Support for Sony's PlayStation 4 game console code generation is landing within LLVM's open-source compiler infrastructure.
what does this mean? 4k 120fps ?
Just wondering, how did you extrapolate that from the article? I know nothing of LLVM so i looked it up and the information pointed nowhere to upping Rez and fps. Are you familiar with this? If so can you expound please.
You guys really can't tell that was a joke post? Seriously guys? 4k 120fps ? Seriously Guys ?!?
Don't worry. It made me laugh. Bubz.
LOL... Dat first post is going to turn this entire thread into a "PS4 doing 4K now" thread.
Jeez. :( I don't want to read a ton of articles on how an update to the PS4 will massively increase the systems power.
Now that i know thats how ppl react, i'm gonna run with this joke for awhile
LLVM is a powerful and optimized compiler but you won't see boosts like what's said above. It does leave objective c and swift developers and opportunity to make apps and games for the ps4 using those languages though
LLVM is an amazing compiler developed by one of the brilliant engineers at apple. If you've programmed for Apple products you know what this is and this is amazingly good news
Ps4 will be able to do 4k games then!!
No one is claiming that the updates will increase the PS4s maximum power. :I Plus we dont need to make up that kind of crap to make ourselves feel better about our console.
4k gaming on 399€ hardware? talk about being deluded. ehehe
Dont need it. 1080p is good enough right now. How many people own a 4k tv?
I was referring to the clowns above claiming 4k ^_^.
@theFro Yeah, "tech experts". I doubt PS4/XboxOne can do 4k. First we need 1080p and 60fps to become the standard before we make that leap. Sony/Microsoft know that until next gen 4k wont be the standard because of how expensive 4k sets are at the start of this gen. 4k is another reason I think the PS5 and XboxTwo? will come out in about 4 years or less.
