Gaming Is Looking So Sorry These Days

Quote: "Gaming is an evolving art form, as I and others have said many times before. Since our Spartan days of a few moving pixels, we are now in an era when games take the form of real life, the impossibly grand and our wildest fantasies. It’s an amazing medium to be a part of, but it can also have its problems. Stagnation, lack of innovation, bad business decisions and so on. Gaming has, in all honesty, been in a bit of a sorry state as of late. We don’t seem to be excited about gaming as much as we once were. What can be the reason for this?"

The story is too old to be commented.

It's simple, really. If you don't like action/shooters, you have to settle for much smaller games. Basically, you have to go back in time. But, when I look at the smaller games in genres that I like, they don't compare to older games in that genre (production-value wise).

Basically, if a new game can't compete with a PS2 game I've yet to play, I'm going to play the PS2 game. I've been doing that for a long time now.

The past has more to offer than the present, unless you're only looking for action/shooters.

This article is ridiculous. I can't be more happy with the progress PS4 has brought to video gaming.
Enjoying myself so much with it.
It all boils down to what game and what developer and what platform you bank on.
EA? Yeah they could be the reason your gaming experience is abyssmal.

I chose my favorite platform & games wisely and carefully.
This why I am always excited because they are there waiting on the horizon. Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, Sony Santa Monica, Sony Japan Studio, Guerilla, Rock Steady, Kojima Productions, Travelers Tales, Enix, Koie Tecmo, Bandai Namco localizations!

Its fun to be a fan of the best and most competent gaming platform in the universe at this time.
