That attach rate for Mario Kart is insane. The Wii U manages to sell 4.77 million copies of MK8 on an install base of 9.2 million. That's over 50% attach rate!

So even with a far smaller install base than the PS4 and Xbox One the Wii U could still do very well for Nintendo.

Oh and get well soon Iwata! The flu's a bitch.

This the same thing that happen with Gamecube, it sold 20 million consoles but made more money than the ps2. The first party games sell a lot, since they making profit on Wii U now, all they have to do is make games and they will be fine, as long as they got those 4 million people to buy games

:/ I love all the classic ip's and have been playing them all on wii u but dang Nintendo needs some new serious ip's. I mean I was all hyped for miyamoto's new projects only until I saw them and was utterly disappointed. now splatoon looks great but they need more than that they need an rpg, they need an action adventure and they need a a shooter with actually solid characters that people will memorize and that shouldn't be a problem with this company's artistic sense. I'm looking forward to Zelda later this year but hoping soon we get to see some new faces.

Wii U may not be in the lead but Nintendo are definitely bringing out the best in what they've got. Pokemon numbers are immense!
