VRFocus - VRBits released it's virtual reality (VR) videogame NightTime Terrors this week. In the title players will be inside of a child's nightmare in which players have to fend off hordes of twisted nightmare toys with an array of weapons. The videogame is compatible with the Oculus Rift second development kit (DK2) head-mounted display (HMD). Following the release, a trailer was unveiled.
VR Bits’ Nighttime Terror came out of nowhere; a surprise announcement from the team that had built their reputation amongst the virtual reality (VR) community for the hugely ambitious space combat simulator Darkfield. And yet here was a cutesy-pie cartoonish take on a simple score-based twin-stick shooter. The team were clearly onto something however, as a sequel for Nighttime Terror has already been teased.
VRFocus reports on Iris VR and VR Bits revealing their brand new virtual reality (VR) locomotion system, Cloudstep, for first-person experiences. They use videogame Technolust to demonstrate.
Additionally the firms have also released the videogame Kerser to backers.
Virtual reality (VR) title Nighttime Terror has been available to download since earlier this year for the Oculus Rift, Samsungs Gear VR and Google Cardboard head-mounted displays. Up until recently indie developer VR Bits hadn’t released any confirming information on other HMD’s it was considering to support. Now though, the company has revealed some early prototype work for Nighttime Terror with the HTC Vive.
