After a brief time with the game last week, The Witcher 3 seems to continue what's good and bad about the series, from its enjoyable action to its unfortunate treatment of women.
I have 3 issues with this previews... The first one is the nudity, its always been there and it is rated M for Mature for many reasons and thats one of them. The second is the difficulty, now if you have played Witcher 2 on Dark mode, you will know its one hell of a hard game and Insane mode is just insanely hard. The third is the depection of women, Witcher 2 had certainly improved the depection of women from the first part so i believe this well too and seeing as you said you choose the girl to be the next king so that means that women has a good part in the game. You think too much, i honestly cant wait to just enjoy the amazing experience they have crafted.
Nice preview. Regarding its depiction of women...its true, women are depicted terribly in said franchise, but, since the games themselves are clearly created by 'men' and aimed at the adolescent...what can we expect? Buy (and most likely enjoy) said game - if you are its target audience, just don't expect to be treat like anything other than a lonely, pastey virgin in the process.
Outside of the bordello's I have never felt that the women in the Witcher series were depicted badly. Hell they are all very strong willed bad ass women for the most part who play major roles in the games. If the nudity bothers you...well good luck making it thru life because I have yet to date a woman who thinks being nude and getting a little naughty every now and then is a bad thing. I imagine you aren't going to care too much about character depiction when watching 50 shades of grey in the theater for the 4th time in a week.
So, stereotypes is it? I wont be seeing 50 Shades of Grey any amount of times at the cinema, let alone once...but I think you know me better than I know myself, don't you? Also (again), you are missing the point entirely. Its NOT about nudity, never was. Lastly, "strong willed bad ass women", "yet to date a woman who thinks being nude and getting a little naughty every now and then"...written like a true adolescent who has probably never dated, let alone a WOMAN.
You do realize that his/her comment was not directed at you don't you? I don't see why you seemed to take such offense to what he/she had to say he/she was in no way stereotyping you, and in fact you are the one making stereotypes in your last sentence.
The women in the books are quite OP and they make it obvious.
This series in Poland was cursed among fans as they take random events from books and depict them(special effects are also lame), but as for woman, look for yourselfs https://www.youtube.com/pla... Too badthey ignored Borch completly, Witcher for animals and monsters - that could be some nice story.
