5 Nintendo Remasters We Wish Would Happen

Paul James writes "As remakes and remasters of some of our favourite (and not so favoured) games become more prominent, Nintendo has slowly begun to embrace the concept. In recent years we’ve seen re-releases of Super Mario All-Stars for Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for 3DS, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD coming to Wii U and now the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D for 3DS is only weeks away. Fans have generally been quite divided on the idea of re-releasing games but in the case of Nintendo, fans have been quite happy to embrace the idea. With that in mind, these are the five HD remakes/remasters that I would like to see Nintendo produce. A few of these I consider highly unlikely to eventuate, but hey, one can dream right?"

More than a remake, can't Nintendo make an EARTHBOUND build from the ground up for Wii U?

I think Wayforward could do a fantastic job on this.

Earthbound, Double Dash, Pokemon Yellow & Metroid Prime 3 & Skyward Sword with non motion controls for me!

Skyward Sword was built with motion controls at its very core. To remove this would be to undo what made it so unique and brilliant. I question whether anyone who asks for such a thing actually even played the game.

Personally I'm more interested in Nintendo creating new games in its most popular franchises, but, I guess a guilt pleasure of mine would be SM64 'remade' using SM3DW's engine...pure unadulterated nostalgia. People who ask for a sequel to Mario 64 being made, that makes no sense. I mean, surely Galaxy was a sequel to it of sorts...better than it's predecessor while still maintaining its core features.
