The same website bashed the game just a few hours ago to get some hits.....

Senyra1334d ago

Seriously, again? Why are people so hurt. I bashed the storyline yes, so what? The game is good in general but the story seems poor. That's all. Can't we write our opinion anymore? :S

Silly Mammo1334d ago

Sure you can write your opinion, but apparently the readers can't convey opinions on your opinion without you getting all huffy. You might want to grow a thicker skin if you plan on continuing to write flamebait articles. IMHO

gangsta_red1334d ago

Why is it that whenever someone writes anything to be worried or cautious about this game certain people instantly attack that person and accuse them of "hate" and no evidence because they never played the game...and yet applaud, dance and party with authors who praise and salute the game and those authors never played it either!?

Majin-vegeta1334d ago

How can you bash the storyline if you haven't played it?

orionone1334d ago

No one is hurt. It's just that your article was REALLY bad. It's that simple. The game isn't out, you don't know the story, you speculate uselessly left and right and you're grammar is atrocious. Seriously, it's just a bad article. Can't we write our opinion anymore?

Rimeskeem1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

The story seems poor?

so your telling me, based of what little you know about the game, you think that the story is gonna be bad?

We should at least base opinions on facts, yes?

Oh, and that is not slow motion combat. I think the devs called it focus where you can auto aim at people for a limited time and shoot certain things with perfect aim.

"The game is good in general but the story seems poor" Based off of what?? those gifs you posted in the other article?? I refuse to click on this website.

If you wish to conduct yourself in the manner of a gaming site that practices service to the community at large, you can then win accolades even though your stories cut across the grain.

But when you act in the obvious manner of a cheap hit seeking blog which only exists to serve itself then you will be accorded well deserved public evisceration. Making angry noises from your parent's basement when you yourself are critiqued also does little for your credibility.

On that note you should perhaps avoid the internet, or at the very least the comments section until maturity grants your the wisdom that as a writer of sheer opinion and no fact, you cannot expect to stand back and hurl rocks and then not be entreated to a similar volley in response.

Let me simplify that for you charlie, if you cannot stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. You have now submitted two articles that were greeted with less than cheerful fanfare. And in both comment sections you proceed to rage and caterwaul because people are exercising the very same rights of which you avail yourself. Opinion. The difference is many of the responses employ reason. The same cannot be said for the drivel you post on that site.

Opinions? Mostly cheap and worthless.

True insight? Almost non-existent (don't fall victim to the belief you possess any).

Upbeat news free of trash opinions concerning a hobby we love and enjoy? A welcome sight but the practice of only 1 or 2 urls in the entire gaming community.

As Adrian Smith wrote. "Information. We want information." That will do. We do not require some demented pied piper telling us what to believe about any particular game. Off with you now.

"The game is good in general but the story seems poor."

How in the hell can you form an opinion about the story when no one has played the FINISHED product and actually went through the story from beginning to the end? Do you know how ridiculous you appear to be by making such a statement about something you've never played? If you read 10 pages of a 250 page book then claim that the story seems poor how do you think people will react?

Those are initials for saying the things that would probably get me a bubble down for foul language. See if you can figure out the meaning of each one.

DigitalRaptor1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

No disrespect, but they've purposely held back most of the story elements of this game to avoid plot spoilers. I don't know how you can possibly say it's a poor storyline with much certainty. We don't even know the half of it.

The game was also co-written by Emmy winner Kirk Ellis.

Did you play the game before say "the story seems poor"? No? then STFU!

NukaCola1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

I am just going to mark all Senyra's remarks as trolling now. Arguing like a 12yo in the comments because no one likes or approves this uneducated mess of an article or the writer, if you could even call them one. Clearly a childish blogger with no journalistic credentials or ethics. Thanks for making it easier to not like or respect you, your website, or want you to contribute to N4G.

The Order will be awesome and remembered for ages. One can hope vgamerz won't be.

MasterCornholio1334d ago

So you played through the game already?

Seriously stop knocking the story until you played it.

You can predict that the story can be poor but you can't claim that it is.

The story is the main focus of the game so please give RAD a chance before bashing it.

lol gotta play both sides. Also they just said the story was the weak point when that seems to be the one thing most people agree looks interesting even if they hate the linearity (a man still doesn't get that)

IWentBrokeForGaming1334d ago

The worse thing (best thing) about The Order... Is the recent playthroughs already have people eatting crow & back pedaling! Cannot wait to witness more of that when it releases! I've yet to see anything by the competition coming close to this game... And Sony has more games coming of this caliber... Competition is eatting Sonys dust in all gaming departments at the moment!

WizzroSupreme1334d ago

Regarding the game, The Order's look'in all right. It checkmarks off all of the usual for your by the book, third-person shooter, really. Sony's best games this past generation have always sold themselves as movies you could play as games, so it's the characters and story I expect to be an investment, not the gameplay in the least, especially with no multiplayer or alternate endings.

FFYRTP1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

In other words, the PS3's best games don't include the LittleBIGPlanets, Gran Turismo, God of War etc, etc? The only real "movie" style games were Quantic Dream's titles and, perhaps, Metal Gear Solid 4. Everything else played like a traditional video game and had plenty of gameplay..... fun, engaging gameplay.

This idea that Sony's games suffer in the gameplay department or: "movies that you could play as games" was bad already, but I've read it more than ever recently. I know it's just an opinion, but it's utter nonsense to me. What does it even mean? If you can play it/interact with it, it's a game, not a movie.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen1334d ago (Edited 1334d ago )

@"Sony's best games this past generation have always sold themselves as movies you could play as games, so it's the characters and story I expect to be an investment, not the gameplay in the least, especially with no multiplayer or alternate endings."

So the story mode for the Last Of Us wasn't worth the investment? Let me ask you this; How many games that have little or no story at all and focus mainly on co-op and multiplayer are actually popular right now? Other than Destiny, I think your argument is pretty weak when you take into account that people are playing a game like The Last Of Us MULTIPLE TIMES for the single player experience and the story.

I'll conduct a simple poll to prove my point.

If you've played The Last Of Us SINGLE player mode more than ten times mainly to experience the gameplay and story repeatedly hit agree...

If you like multiplayer only games hit disagree...

Now this topic would make a great story...

Multiplayer vs Single player. No fanboy wars, just pure debate.
