If you’re interested in The Order: 1886, today Ready at Dawn released a little treat, in the form of an alternate reality website full of little hints and interesting elements about the game’s setting and backstory.
Like Shadow of the Colossus mysterious website. Very cool!
GOTY for sure :P
Hopefully in the sense its that good. Would put the nay sayers to rest.
The nay sayers won't be put to rest. The number of ridiculous articles about this game, despite people not seeing overly much, will mean very little backtracking, even if it turns out to be the best game ever (which it won't). Idiots have a hive mind and currently that mind is going on stupidly about lack of innovation (as if that matters) as a means to call this a terrible game. I expect a fair few 4/10, "I told you so", reviews when this releases. Even if it's really good.
Very well handled indeed. I have already burned up the better part of an hour on that site.
Found out anything interesting? I'm terrible with enigmas and my brain is too tired lol.
Not yet as I am mainly attempting to find the obvious and make notes prior to starting in on any attempts to solve matters. Then again I may not get very far :) but the tease is very well instituted and quite enjoyable. This was not a quick one off site they threw up.
For those who want to know what could that letter mean, here is what I gathered in that first letter is: NOVEMBER FIFTEEN "LH" had an urgent conversation with "SP" in the Royal Gallery for a quarter hour. "LH" 'decarted' (meaning left I guess) the palace immediately afterwards in a carriage I was unable to follow. NOVEMBER SIXTEEN "SP" arrived at three entering discreetly at Black Rod Garden where he was greeted by "LH" and us here, into the Royal Court drawing room. I did not observe them leaving however. At quarter five, the room was unoccupied. I think "LH" means - Lord Henry (or something like that) with "SP" meaning - Sir Paul (kind of). But "LH" and "SP" are definitely two men with high status in the Royal Court.
I can't wait to play it. So epic.
I love this kind of stuff. =)
Definitely cool. Going to try to dig into it later.
If it's true that RAD have planned out The Order as a series, then this kind of world building is something to get right early on. It does hint at some really promising things in regards to the story then. Very excited to experience this from start to finish, rather than watching months of out of context demo slices. 28 days remaining: http://itsalmo.st/#theorder...
