5 Reasons Why Call Of Duty Sucks

There are many games that are created just to make money off them, but in this situation Call of Duty is definitely the king! This series has been mostly a copy paste in the past 7-8 years, and we have listed a few things that make it a lackluster one.

Can we do a followup article on why this article sucks?

Thanks for the generic, whiny list that says everything everyone else has said before, except written like a elementary school paper.

I laughed when the first line of the "article" was this: "There are many games that are created just to make money off them."

Oh really? You mean like ALL OF THEM? If games weren't being made to make money off of them then those games would be free with no paid DLC or paid microtransactions.

You sure see those all over the place, don't you? lol

Nailed it. To be totally honestly if Activision truly wanted to make bank off Call of Duty they would stop the yearly release for a couple years than BOOM bring it back bigger and better than ever, completely new engine (not the same one we've seen since 2008), new gameplay mechanics, new devs who know what level design is, and 4/5 years of dev time letting the devs bring everything they can. Not only the hype of the comeback be huge but the actual change would be refreshing enough to bring back old players who have sworn off the game because of everything on this list.

Because they aren't already "making bank" with what they are doing now?

Look, I'm with you. I don't like the yearly release and it really is holding the series back from being something really great.

But you can't argue that CoD is a best selling game year after year. I would say they are already truly making bank. Thats why they won't change. Every year they sell millions of copies of their newest installment. I don't know the exact numbers, but is it not already the best selling game in the world? So yeah, until that changes, they will certainly not change what they are doing and only release it every 2-3 years. If they did, they would actually LOSE money compared to what they make now.

So they haven't been "making bank" since it's launch? I think being top in sales is pretty much "making bank"

What about leaving stuff out so the gamers pay more? Giving them just enough to be wanting more?

not that I agree but...

Why would they stop what they are doing? It's perfect for their business. We buy the first HALF of the game at launch, then throughout the year, we buy the second half through DLC. As a gamer, it sucks but I understand it. Not that I agree though. I'm not that into COD anymore since it got crazy like this. I realized what it was and it deterred me.

AW is a new engine by the way. To top it off, there are 3 dev companies under Activision working on this game. So it's on a 3 year cycle.

It sure does suck up money from gamers.

How much is EA paying for these things, this is the second article in a row I have seen trashing COD even though there is no release in the near future.
