How old are you? This was meant to look like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, a la early 90s. In the early 90s this was cutting edge 3D. This was a project of nostalgia for the old pseudo-3D titles (the environments were 3D spaces, but used multiple 2D sprites).

You can't make kids understand. Believe me, I've tried.

This awesome!! Port this to the DS!! It would be a great fit.

I'm old enough to have played Metroid and ID games since their beginnings and know that their two styles do not match. Retro knows how to set the perfect mood for Metroid Prime and Id for Hexen, Doom, etc. If each dev worked on the others games it wouldn't feel right. Just my opinion. And, by the way, I'm probably twice as old as most people on here. Not proud to admit that someone my age frequents this site but, whatever, I love games and discussing them. Actually my avatar should show my age if you've been gaming as long as me.
