H1Z1′s launch problems continues, with the game being taken completely offline as latest patch accidentally introduces new bug.
As expected. I can't wait to play more yes its buggy but hey we address it and they listen and fix great work soe
"Launch woes"? I thought this was early access, you know, alpha. Why is it being treated as a finished game already? Its like some people want the game to fail.
Because they do, its like these journalists can't comprehend two simple words: early, access. Feel like emailing him the page on steam which details what early access actually means.
Awful looking game. pass.
they are fixing these things and working pretty damn hard. if you stand back and take a fair look at it they are doing exactly what early access releases are supposed to do: fixing bugs and identifying issues. better now than when its official release. if you cant handle it then you shouldnt be participating in early access period. I dont own the game but ive got plenty of friends that do and ive kept up with the progress via blog and twitter.
At least SOE has done more on this that they ever did for PS2 even after a year. People should be complaining for the fact that they are paying $20 for an alpha, when it should be the other way around. The hell happen to the days when game tester got paid to find bugs and glitches. All I see is idiots complaining for their own stupidity.
i havent started it since the 3rd day, im not gonna play till a sh** load of patches are implemented, that way it feels like a totally awesome new experience :)
You should have got a refund and waited for it to become F2P.
Isn't that essentially what Early Access is for though? Just a glorified paid beta access. In betas these things are going to happen, I guess that's the downside of charging people for beta, people are going to hold it up to more scrutiny.
I actually start to hate early access. Not because of the model or the games that get released. But by the way people respond, as if it is the final game.
I feel like this guy doesn't understand "early access".
Its in "Alpha" Get over it. >.>
It is kinda funny and ironic that people are paying $20 upfront for Early Access / Beta Test a game for the developers, especially when you realize the game when released will be "Free to Play".
The game is fantastic! Best online multiplayer survival game ive ever played. Enjoying alot. I dont mind the down time, they have patched and update so much, not to mention working through the day and night while staying in communication every couple hours with the community. Dont care what is said, this is the best Early Access title i have been a part of.
So it's the best free to play game you've ever bought?? I'm sure it's the only one...
Its actually not... There is also Loadout and a couple others I am sure. I support SOE and I have now broken 50 hours of gameplay. I have already hit my $19.99 payment. Anyone who waits for it to be free to play will get a hell of a deal. Go be mad somewhere else.
Early Access is basically Alpha testing on a larger scale. There ARE going to be bugs. Servers WILL need to go down. It's pretty much par for the course. This is pretty much what one SHOULD expect when getting "early access". I didn't read the article, simply because the title seems to miss the point of "early access" by calling it "launch woes", but SOE has already deployed several patches, increased the US servers, added (or are adding)200 EU servers, decided to patch the loot system (which should deploy when it comes back online), and provided select streamers with personal servers to optimize their streaming of the game (NO STREAM SNIPERS UNLESS INVITED!!!). I'd say, for "early access", that's pretty good support thus far.
