I bet it'll run great!

kaiserfranz1341d ago

If it really stays at 30FPS even during the most hectic battles, it's going to be great.

Great game, a bit disappointed by the 30 fps limit but I'm defenetely playing this in March.

OMG fps trolls need to stop been little brats and just enjoy the game. Don't like it move along or go buy a big mega pc. ( not aimed at just u)

Neonridr1341d ago

Some people were hoping for an increase in framerates this generation.

Septic1341d ago (Edited 1341d ago )

Flippin ek THC. Spare a thought for the X1 fans on here. They contend with this kind of stuff on a daily basis. How is he trolling btw?

Tbh, with 2000 players (well 500 odd in one play space) is pretty darn cool.

30fps isn't a deal breaker at all. In fact, if its locked then its quite a big feat because those of us who have played it know how much madness can happen on screen.

I can't wait to play this with my mates.

Btw, does anybody know whether I can transfer my weapon purchase from PC to PS4? I better be able to. Not spending another £7 on a sniper again...

MasterCornholio1341d ago

And others were expecting better graphics.

There has to be a balance between framerate and graphics on consoles.

Seriously who was dumb enough to believe they all games on consoles would be 1080P 60FPS?

BC_Master_Haze1341d ago (Edited 1341d ago )

The developer was targeting 60fps, it's a shame they didn't hit it but that's okay. However, I have a right to be slightly disappointed that it's not 60, due to the devs being confident it would be at an earlier point in time.

Pretty sure you're the one trolling here THC, but you're not a brat.. Maybe something that rhymes with it though, if you believe 30fps isn't a bit disappointing after the hype and that you have any right to tell me what I can and cannot complain about.

Regardless it's free to play and I appreciate the time they took to bring it to console.

Chill, you chose the wrong person to use your comment on @NeonRidr.

Planetside 2 is an incredibly heavy game on the CPU, even on PC. On PS4, getting 60 FPS on huge battles would have been completely impossible.

Jubez1871341d ago (Edited 1341d ago )

Okay so I downloaded PS2 on my PC last night, I don't have a top-tier gaming PC but I spent a good 700+ dollars on it last spring. I couldn't even run high/60fps. In big battles I dropped to the 20s. If they say that this PS4 version looks like ULTRA and runs at a steady 30 then I'm impressed. But I'm a little skeptical right now.

EDIT: And if anyone was wondering, it's a bigger sci-fi skinned Battlefield.

Eonjay1341d ago (Edited 1341d ago )

"PlanetSide 2 is defined by its massive size and strong camaraderie amongst players, making it an exceptional fit for the PlayStation 4’s powerful hardware and social community. We didn’t just create a port — we created a full console first-person shooter experience."

Neonridr1341d ago

well you knew SOE was going to say that about the Playstation.. :P

MasterCornholio1341d ago

And why is it false?

After all this time you would expect a good port for the PS4. It's not like they copy and pasted the game over from PC.

Neonridr1341d ago

it was more or less a joke Cornholio

Because it's one Sony company talking about another Sony company.. ;)

supersonicjerry1341d ago

i would say its powerful if it was locked at 60fps but its locked at 30 which is still good for how big the game is and how much is going on, i will say its strong hardware.
