Have you ever been playing a game, and either in a cut scene or during gameplay thought to yourself, "why on earth is this in the game?!" Let's pick 5 of these, and talk about why they should be left out.

" There is nothing wrong with putting a surgery scene into a game, but either allow the player to look away in game during this so they only hear it, or make it so it's not unnecessarily gruesome. In fact I would love it if you could just look away from any surgery in game, because I don't deal well with in screen"

It really changes the tone of the game so much to fit on how the Big Boss will turn into the villain because of the things happened to him or seen. MGSV Phantom Pain will be very dark and violent and Kojima stated that it will be the darkest game he ever did and it will probably get banned in some places because of its themes. I don't think you will be able to handle the game then.

Ride to hell should not have been made in the first place. Ugh, it makes me shiver just remembering playing it.

Metro Last Light nudity scenes felt unnecessary and is just there for the sake of a some boob show.

Dead Space 2 drill scene was unnervingly awesome and tense. Poor Isaac, i really felt that was my heart beating in that moment especially on hardcore mode when i didnt save for a long time.

Lolipop Chainsaw was silly and Shadow of the damned had more WTF moments that are worse than this.

For MGSV:TPP I will just physically look away, so I will handle it, it's just surgery I have an issue with... I can handle torture and things like that... don't know why, because torture is a lot worse. I wouldn't be able to in real life, but in games and films I feel a disconnect for some reason.

Ride - yer... but I couldn't just say the whole game should be canned... well it should... but there are so many games which also can be.

Metro - yep, exactly.

DS2 - Yer it was tense, but again my surgery thing comes in.

Lollipop Chainsaw - All the stuff in Shadows of the Damned wasn't shown as much as it was hinted, it had a lot of sexual commentary but never literally in your face butts. Which is why I put Lollipop in there. Also it's not needed because of course people will then cosplay as Juliet and people who don't understand games will use that an argument for educating others who also don't know about games to say how bad games are, and poison their minds.
But there are so many examples which can be used on this the list probably can be made to 20 games.

I assume you are talking about people like Anita Sarkenseen or however her name is spelt, i tend to ignore her because she is an ignorant person that doesnt even play games but show video of people who does. Sigh.

And one thing i have to add. Those games are for mature audience, so scenes like those are why they got that rating from the first place and honestly some games need those scenes to really feel the tension and awesomeness. Like The Evil Within, shooting someone in the head and seeing it blow off is really satisfying and is really important or else you wont feel the impact which is awesome. Or getting your head chopped off, unlike Resident Evil 5, its awesome because you see it but in RE5, its stupid because you cant see anything and that lessen your enjoyment of the game, at least in my opinion.

Sorry, but that amounts to censorship. If the artists intend for something to be there, then it should be there.

If I don't like it, I will self censor and not decide what others may partake of.

"Censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak because a baby can't chew it." -attributed to Mark Twain

There is a difference between censoring and forcing a player to watch some unrealistic butt and boob physics. I don't want to watch jelly... if they want to do naked ladies make the physics realistic.
Also give players the option to not see some gruesome content. I don't want devs to stop doing things which are considered controversial, I want them to stop forcing players into situations which make me feel sick because it's unnecessary, or give the option to not see it.

Explain how you are "forced" to see anything in artform. Gaming is a hobby and it is entertainment but it is also art.

None of this is forced on you. I guess I just don't agree with that word choice.

The torture scene in GTA V was unnecessary, the poor bastard was totally innocent too. Wish we could have skipped it. And I'm not just being a whinger... I actually have seen examples of it working in films....namely Reservoir Dogs, but I think that was done in an artistic manner and not just thrown in for laughs.

I don't think it was thrown in... this is Rockstar we are talking about. I think they offset a lot of the violence with laughs to try and reduce the uncomfortableness of the scene.
