Sounds awesome. I have to ask why are they using UE4? Don't all Sony studios use in house game engines?

Since they have only made handheld games for some time then maybe their engine they used wasnt built for ps4. Maybe decided to choose UE4 since its suppose to be easy using it and would have taken longer time make a new engine.

If there's only 50 people, it makes sense for them to use a licenced engine, rather than trying to build one from scratch. I dare say the documentation and support would be better than, say, using Naughty Dog's engine, if only because ND wouldn't have designed their engine with other studios in mind.

I am not knocking what these guys are doing, but out of curiosity... Ready at Dawn has made just handheld games as well but they are coming strong on the PS4 with The Order. What engine does that run because it looks absolutely amazing?
